    Abstract: Disclosed is an X-ray photographing machine in which an unexposed sheet film magazine and an exposed sheet film magazine mounted on a movable frame are located in offset positions relative to an axis extending along a rectilinear path of a carrier to transfer a sheet film to an exposure station, the longitudinal axes of the magazines extending in parallel with each other and substantially at right angles to the axis along the carrier path.A sheet feed mechanism is disposed in a space defined by the respective axes of both these magazines and of the carrier path.
