  • Publication number: 20050143648
Abstract: A system includes a device swallowed, passing through a subject, and including a constant magnetic field generator generating a constant magnetic field; and a position transducer. The position transducer includes a magnetic detector, a calibration magnetic field generator, a magnetic detector detecting an intensity of a magnetic field, a coordinate calibrating unit, and a position processor. The calibration magnetic field generator is disposed at a fixed relative position to the subject, and generates a calibration magnetic field for position calibration of the magnetic detector. The coordinate calibrating unit calibrates a position coordinate of the magnetic detector using an intensity of the calibration magnetic field. The position processor calculates a position of the device in the subject based on the intensity of the constant magnetic field and the position coordinate of the magnetic detector calibrated.

  • Publication number: 20050143649
Abstract: A system includes a device that is swallowed, passes through a subject, and includes a magnetic field generator generating a constant magnetic field; and a travel state detector. The travel state detector includes a magnetic detector, disposed in a fixed relative position to the subject, detecting an intensity of a constant magnetic field output from the magnetic field generator. The travel state detector also includes a position processor calculating a position of the device in the subject based on the intensity of the magnetic field detected by the magnetic detector, and a travel state processor determining a travel state of the device in the subject based on the position calculated by the position processor.

  • Publication number: 20040249291
Abstract: An average color bar indicating the overall imaging period of images taken in time sequence by a capsule endoscope is displayed. A list of checked images in the entire taken images is displayed in a checked-image display field, computation is made to what time during an observation period each checked image corresponds is computed, and a mark is displayed with a scale of the average color bar by a number corresponding to each checked image on the average color bar.

  • Publication number: 20040236181
Abstract: An in-body information acquiring apparatus includes a function executing unit that realizes a predetermined function inside a body of a patient. A power-supply circuit includes a power unit that includes a cell and that outputs a first current and a first voltage; and a converter that converts the first current to a second current, which is a current required to operate the function executing unit for a predetermined time, and converts the first voltage to a second voltage, which is a voltage required to operate the function executing unit.

  • Publication number: 20040223659
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a filter circuit receiving the values of a pixel to be observed and of each pixel within a window containing the pixel to be observed as input data expressed by integers, for replacing the value of the pixel to be observed with the value of pixel at a predetermined ordinal position in an ascending or descending order within the window, including: an extreme value retaining means for obtaining and retaining an extreme value of the values of the pixels within the window; and a data retrieval determination means receiving extreme value data from the extreme value retaining means and the input data, for obtaining the value at a predetermined ordinal position in the ascending or descending order by cumulatively adding frequencies of occurrence of the values of the pixels within the window.

  • Publication number: 20040225223
Abstract: An image display apparatus includes an input unit that inputs image data taken in time sequence by an in-vivo imaging device, a scale display control unit that displays a scale indicating an overall imaging period of the image data and displays a movable slider on the scale, an image display control unit displays on a display unit an image at an imaging time corresponding to a position of the slider in response to a movement of the slider on the scale, a color information detecting unit that detects color information of a screen of the image data, and a color display control unit that displays a color corresponding to the color information at position on the scale corresponding to time.

  • Publication number: 20040225190
Abstract: A capsule endoscope has a front cover having a window for illuminating light and a window for capturing images. The window for illuminating light is flat. The window for capturing images is flat or convex. Because the window for illuminating light is flat, the light passes through the window without being reflected toward an image capturing unit.

  • Publication number: 20040225189
Abstract: In a capsule endoscope illuminating units are disposed around an image capturing unit in such a manner that an optical axis of the illuminating units do not intersect with an optical axis of the observation unit, and illumination areas of the illuminating units overlap at substantially a central portion of an image capturing area of the image capturing unit.
