  • Patent number: 4507469
Abstract: A curable composition comprising an organic polymer containing at least one hydrolyzable a group attached to the silicon per polymer molecule and having a molecular weight within the range of 300 to 15,000, wherein a curing catalyst comprising tin II salt of organic carboxylic acid and/or lead II salt of organic carboxylic acid is used in combination with an acid material and/or a basic material, thereby unexpectedly improving the set resistance thereof. The composition may be utilized as a sealant which cures upon exposure to moisture to form a rubber like substance having improved set resistance.
