    Abstract: A photosensitive member for electrophotography having a photosensitive layer containing a hydrazone compound represented by the following general formula [I]: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a halogen atom; R.sup.3 represents a halogen atom; m is 1 or 2; and n is 0, 1 or 2. The photosensitive member has not only extremely high sensitivity but also sufficiently low residual potential. It is also highly resistant to fatigue so that the repeated use provides it with little accumulation of residual potential and little variation of surface potential and sensitivity.

    Abstract: A photochromic material to be used for a photosensitive arrangement such as photosensitive laminated glass. The photochromic material is formed of a high polymer substrate material containing photochromic spirooxazine compound as expressed by the following general formula: ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are at least one selected from the group consisting of alkyl group, alkenyl group, cycloalkyl group and aryl group; R.sup.4 is one selected from the group consisting of hydrogen atom and alkyl group having the number of carbon atoms ranging from 1 to 5; rings X and Y are at least one selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon aromatic ring and heterocyclic aromatic ring; and Z is one selected from the group consisting of oxygen atom and sulfur atom. Additionally, a triplet state quencher such as nitroxy free radical is contained in the high polymer substrate material, thereby suppressing generation of deterioration substance due to irreversible reaction of spirooxazine molecules.
