  • Patent number: 7864908
Abstract: A recovered clock signal is simulated from an acquired external clock signal by use of an uncomplicated algorithm requiring few calculations. The recovered clock is usually used in an apparatus that receives external clock and external data signals and recovers the recovered clock signal from the external clock signal by use of a phase lock loop to process the external data according to the recovered clock. Apparatus according to the invention digitizes the external clock signal and stores resulting the time domain data in memories (step 48). It detects time domain data of edges of the stored external clock (step 50), and the detected time domain data of the edges are converted into frequency domain data (step 52). The frequency domain data are multiplied by the respective predetermined coefficients in different frequency domains (step 54). The resultant frequency domain data are restored to the time domain data (step 56) to obtain time domain data of the edges of the recovered clock signal.

  • Patent number: 7847506
Abstract: In a machine tool controller (1): a position control unit (12) controls, based on an operational signal input from without during manual operation, a moving body's move-to point and moving speed; a memory (13) stores data modeling the moving body and any potentially interfering machine-tool structure; a travel-area checking unit (17) defines in the modeled structure speed-control regions obtained by displacing the structure's contour, generates, based on the defined speed control regions and on current moving-body position, data modeling the moving body as moved into its current position, to check whether the moving body will travel within a speed control region, and if so, sends to the position control unit a speed limit predefined for that speed control region. The position control unit controls the moving body to travel at speed limit if the operational-signal-directed moving speed exceeds the speed limit.

Abstract: Machine-tool controller (1) has a screen display processor (19), and a movement-status recognition processor (18) that defines for modeled structural elements interference-risk regions obtained by displacing outwards the structural elements' outer geometry, then generates data modeling post-movement moving bodies to check whether the they would intrude into any interference-risk region, and if so, transmits to the screen display processor (19) the locations where, and a signal indicating into which interference-risk region, the intrusion would occur. Based on the generated modeling data, the screen display processor (19) generates, and has a screen display device (43) display onscreen, image data in accordance with the modeling data, generating the image data in such a way that it is displayed at a display magnification in accordance with the interference-risk region into which intrusion would occur, with the intrusion locations being in the midportion of the screen display device (43).

  • Patent number: 7218843
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a recording apparatus and a reproducing apparatus which change a picture compression rate depending upon a picture quality of a source which a user desires to retain, thereby a tape storage space being secured. A video-data compression rate N used by a 1:N video-data compression encoder 3 and a 1:N video-data compression decoder 6 is changed depending upon a picture quality set by a device 5 for setting a picture quality that a user desires. A tape travel speed of an archive VTR 4 is changed in response to the picture compression rate. Thus, an amount of a tape travel is optionally set depending upon a level of the picture quality. Therefore, it is possible to optionally select a tape storage space in response to the level of the picture quality.
