  • Patent number: 4818012
Abstract: A body cover for a motorcycle having a body frame including a front cover extending around and covering a front part of the body frame from the front to a left and a right side thereof, the front cover having an opening at each side with each opening providing access to an engine, a pair of side covers with each side cover adapted to be removably attached to cover an opening at one side of the front cover and each of the side covers being formed to provide an outer surface which is a smooth continuation of an adjacent outer surface of the front cover. A second part of each side cover gradually inclines toward the body frame and a rear part extends along the side of the body frame under the seat. Each of the side covers extends from the front to the rear of the main frame member and covers one side of the main frame member, back stay and seat rail.

  • Patent number: 4539627
Abstract: A headlight device with two lights for motorcycles is incorporated in an open space defined within the fairing. A single light casing is disposed in the open space of the fairing, within which a pair of light units are accommodated in juxaposition. Lens means is arranged at an open front face of the light casing. At least one of the light casing and the lens means has an outer peripheral surface thereof tightly fitted in the front opening of the fairing along the whole periphery thereof.

  • Patent number: 4515405
Abstract: A fairing device for motorcycles comprising a fairing member and a pair of right and left turn indicator or blinker units attached to the fairing member. In each of the blinker units, a rearwardly open space is formed by a base member fixed to the fairing member and a lens member integrally secured to the base member. A blinker lamp is disposed within such space, and the space is closed from behind with a removable cover member. The fairing device not only provides enhanced wind shielding and air flow distributing functions, but also facilitates maintenance operations.

  • Patent number: 4461508
Abstract: A fairing assembly for a motorcycle having a head light disposed at a front end of the fairing assembly, a meter unit indicative of running conditions of the motorcycle and turn signal units is disclosed. The turn signal units are disposed on both sides of the assembly. The turn signal units are each formed integrally with the fairing assembly. The fairing assembly is separated into upper and lower portions by a line connecting the head light to each turn signal unit. The upper portion may be used as a covering member for covering an upper portion of the head light and the rearside of the meter unit. The covering member is hinged at a front end thereof.

  • Patent number: 4428227
Abstract: An intake pipe pressure indicating system for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle having an intake pipe including a supercharger and a throttle valve. The system comprises sensors which detect the internal pressure of the intake pipe at an upstream position and at a downstream position, respectively, with respect to the throttle valve and provides corresponding output signals. A comparator provides a logic signal based on the result of a comparison between the output signal from either of the sensors and a reference value. A selection circuit is provided which is adapted to select and to transmit and output either of the output signals on the basis of the logic signal, and a single indicator is provided which is adapted to provide an indication corresponding to the output signal of the selection circuit.
