  • Patent number: 5105361
Abstract: A structure of a system for automatically controlling a vehicle speed to a desired cruise speed is disclosed in which, when a signal generated by a cancel switch provided for halting a control operation of the system, is generated by a turning on of the cancel switch, a voltage applying portion, intervened between the cancel switch and each signal lines connected between one of set/coast switch and acceleration/resume switch and a corresponding input end of a control circuit, generates a voltage whose level is different from that generated when either set/coast or acceleration/resume switch is operated, the voltage being supplied to each of the signal lines. A signal generating portion provides a third signal in response to the applied voltage from the voltage applying portion to another input end of the control circuit.

  • Patent number: 4442609
Abstract: A vehicle orientation detecting device mounted in an automotive or other vehicle cancels an erroneous signal component of a first alternating voltage signal generated as a conductor is rotated so as to intersect a geo-magnetic field. The erroneous component is cancelled by electrically adjusting two phases and magnitudes of a second alternating voltage signal having the same period as the rotating conductor and a 90.degree. phase shifted second alternating voltage. The vehicle orientation is correctly derived from the phase difference between the normal first alternating voltage signal without the erroneous signal component and the second alternating voltage signal.

  • Patent number: 4426553
Abstract: A loudspeaker arrangement for a vehicle having a magnetic-field-sensitive device, includes a casing, and first and second loudspeakers disposed in the casing. First and second magnets are incorporated in the first and second loudspeakers respectively. The respective magnetic moments of the first and second magnets are arranged to be antiparallel so that the vector sum of magnetic fluxes produced by the first and second magnets will be reduced at the position of the magnetic-field-sensitive device.

  • Patent number: 4382603
Abstract: A level regulator for an automotive vehicle such that a supply voltage is applied to the amplifiers only while the sensors are detecting level-regulating signals, so that a wasteful current can be prevented from being passed therethrough when the vehicle is left parked with one of the wheels on the sidewalk or an uneven ground, and the battery can be protected against excessive discharge. The level regulator of the present invention comprises mechanical switches such as microswitches or reed switches as the sensors, in place of electric, photoelectric or magnetic sensors used with conventional level regulators.

  • Patent number: 4377293
Abstract: A level regulator for an automotive vehicle such that a power voltage is applied to the amplifiers only for a fixed period after a level signal has been detected or only while a level signal is being detected within a fixed period, so that a wasteful current can be prevented from being passed therethrough when the vehicle is left parked with one of the wheels on the sidewalk or uneven ground, and the battery can be protected against excessive discharge. The level regulator of the present invention comprises a power supply controller including a differential circuit, a switching transistor and a timer of a monostable multivibrator.

  • Patent number: 4358713
Abstract: A brightness control device for a light emitting display of an automotive vehicle electronic meter wherein the brightness of the light emitting display is controlled in response to the variable duty factor output pulse signal produced by an illumination controller for an illumination lamp of an ordinary meter. A circuit is provided for securing the minimum brightness of the light emitting display. The circuit is rendered operative when a lighting switch is turned off to limit the amplitude of a pulse voltage applied to one terminal of the light emitting display.
