  • Patent number: 11938980
Abstract: A RIO device mounted to a train includes an output unit that outputs a signal to a relay mounted to the train, and a controller that controls whether or not to cause the output unit to output the signal. The output unit includes a readback circuit that detects whether or not the signal is outputted from the output unit. The controller makes a signal stop request and a signal output request to the output unit before operation of the train starts, acquires a detection result of the readback circuit while each of the signal stop request and the signal output request is performed, and detects abnormality of the output unit using the detection result.

  • Patent number: 9063233
Abstract: An exposure management system includes dosimeters, wireless relay devices that wirelessly communicate with the dosimeters, and a monitoring device. The dosimeters are carried by workers for measuring exposure doses in a radiation management facility. The wireless relay devices transmit a monitor indication message that requests the dosimeters to provide respective responses that include information of measured exposure doses. The wireless relay devices receive the responses from the dosimeters by using allocated respective communication channels that are different from each other. Each dosimeter receives the monitoring indication message and generates a designated number of response times for providing a response to the monitor indication message, and determines a communication channel corresponding to each of the generated response times. The monitoring device is connected to the wireless relay devices for monitoring an exposure state of each of the workers through the wireless relay devices and dosimeters.

  • Publication number: 20050019649
Abstract: A fuel cell electrode is proposed which has a positive electrode layer (20), a negative electrode layer (19) and an ion exchange film (21) interposed between these. Before a solution for making one of the other of positive and negative electrodes has dried, a solution for making the ion exchange film is applied to it, and then a solution for making the other electrode is applied while the solution for making the ion exchange film is not yet dry. Because the layers are not dry, the intimacy of the layers improves. By the ion exchange film being made a solution, the applied film can be made thin.

  • Patent number: 5127745
Abstract: The ceramic bearing constructed by being allowed to contact the ceramic outer ring slidably with the ceramic inner ring is provided with a latching member to prevent the transfer of the ceramic inner ring in the axial direction at the inner or the outer ring of said ceramic product. The bearing constructed by the sliding contact of the ceramic inner ring with the ceramic outer ring can prevent the occurrence of the transfer of the inner ring in the axial direction with respect to the outer ring by providing a latching member which prevents the transfer of the inner ring in the axial direction at the inner or outer ring. Accordingly, there is no anxiety of separation of the outer ring from the inner ring.

  • Patent number: 5102239
Abstract: A ceramic bearing is provided by an outer ring, an inner ring, and a sliding ring fitted between the outer and inner rings. Each of the rings is made from ceramic material. Sliding contact occurs between the sliding ring and the inner ring, and between the sliding ring and the outer ring. Whereas the difference in relative rotation between the respective rings is divided among a plurality of relatively sliding surfaces, the bearing can support increased loads and rotation speeds.

  • Patent number: 5094550
Abstract: A ceramic bearing includes a fixed ring and a rotary ring. The fixed ring has an outer cylindrical surface dimensioned for an interference fit in a bore of a machine. The fixed ring also has an end surface for contacting a bottom of the bore, and an opposite end surface which includes an annular groove. The groove has a curved bottom surface and a pair of opposite wall surfaces. The rotary ring has an inner cylindrical surface dimensioned for receiving a journal of a rotatable shaft. The rotary ring also has an end surface which includes an annular projection. The projection has a curved top surface and a pair of opposite side surfaces. A radial load on the shaft is transmitted to the machine through surface contact of the projection side surfaces and the groove wall surfaces. A thrust load on the shaft is transmitted to the machine through surface contact of the projection top surface and the groove bottom surface.

  • Patent number: 5083873
Abstract: A ceramic bearing is provided by a ceramic inner ring and a ceramic outer ring. The ceramic inner ring includes an axial hole for receiving a shaft at the center of the inner ring. The inner ring further includes an outer cylindrical surface coaxial with the axial hole, and a plane surface extending from the cylindrical surface. The plane surface is perpendicular to the axial hole. The ceramic outer ring includes an inner cylindrical surface which slidably contacts the outer cylindrical surface of the ceramic inner ring, and a plane surface which slidably contacts the plane surface of the ceramic inner ring. The shaft is fixed within the axial hole of the inner ring, and sliding does not occur between the shaft and the inner ring. Accordingly, there is no chance of abrasion on the shaft even after a long period of use.

  • Patent number: 4729428
Abstract: A heat exchanger of the plate fin type having first fluid channels and second fluid channels arranged alternately and each separated from the adjacent channel by a flat metal plate. At least one of the first fluid channel and the second fluid channel is formed by a pair of adjacent flat metal plates and a spacer interposed between the flat plates. The spacer comprises a pair of side walls each joined to and interconnecting a pair of opposed edges of the two flat plates at each side thereof, a connecting wall interconnecting the two side walls, and fins provided on the connecting wall at an angle therewith and joined at their forward ends to the flat plate, the fins extending in parallel with the direction of flow of fluid through the fluid channel. The heat exchanger is fabricated by arranging plate plates, spacers, fins and spacer bars in layers and joining the parts together by brazing at the same time.
