  • Publication number: 20060240273
Abstract: The present invention provides a member coated with thermal barrier coating film having a metal substrate, the surface of which is covered with an adhesive layer (bond coat layer) composed of a heat resisting alloy and a thermal barrier film layer (thermal barrier coating layer) composed of a heat resisting ceramic formed on the adhesive layer, and a thermal spraying powder used for the formation of the adhesive layer, characterized in that the adhesive layer is a MCrAlX alloy (wherein M is at least one metal selected from among Fe, Ni and Co, and X is at least one metal selected from among Y, Hf, Ta, Cs, Pt Zr, La and Th), and an element capable of inhibiting the growth of an oxide layer (TGO) which is grown between the adhesive layer and the thermal barrier film layer by the exposure to a high temperature is added to the adhesive layer.

  • Publication number: 20060146907
Abstract: A nondestructive evaluation method for detecting cracking (5) in a metal tube body (1) by specified inspection devices (6) and (7), wherein a cooling treatment, a heating treatment, or a cooling and heating treatment is applied to the specified position of the tube body (1) to cause deformation so as to open the cracking (5) present in the tube body (1) for elicitation. Then the tube body (1) is inspected by using the inspection devices (6) and (7).

  • Patent number: 4948625
Abstract: A method for forming a surface layer on a base material to be processed by electric discharge process, said method being characterized in that the electric discharge process is conducted in liquid or liquefied gas by use of a metalloid or a metal as an electrode for electric discharge process to thereby form on the surface of said base material a layer having an amorphous alloy structure or a very fine crystal structure.

  • Patent number: 4665984
Abstract: Earth's crustal stress is measured by drilling a bore-hole in rock body, producing a longitudinal crack at a selected portion thereof with or without a natural traverse crack through intermittent application of hydraulic pressure thereat while measuring the pressure at different stages of crack production, producing an artificial traverse cracks through the use of a prenotch, determining orientations of the cracks thus produced by inspecting the bore-hole surface conditions, and numerically analyzing the crack orientations and the pressures at different stages of crack production.

  • Patent number: 4518464
Abstract: A method of detecting embrittlement of a heat-resisting steel comprises evaluating the brittleness of the heat-resisting steel on the basis of the repassivation current value obtained by (a) connecting the steel as the anode of an anode polarization curve measuring apparatus wherein an aqueous solution containing an organic acid and an alkylbenzene sulfonic acid or its salt is used as an electrolytic solution; and (b) raising the anode potential from an active region to a passive region and thereafter lowering the anode potential to measure the repassivation current value.
