  • Patent number: 4734761
Abstract: A color image recording apparatus for recording a color image uses a cathode-ray tube having a screen with an inner surface to be bombarded with an electron beam, which is coated in a striped manner with a first fluorescent material for emitting blue and green light and with a second fluorescent material for emitting red light, and its outer surface is provided with a blue filter and a green filter each opposed to a respective portion of the first fluorescent material, and with a red filter opposed to the second fluorescent material. Successive scanning lines are formed on a surface by relatively moving the position of the scanning line on the surface in a direction perpendicular to said scanning direction so that each scanning line is scanned by light from each of the colors.

  • Patent number: 4679053
Abstract: A recording system for driving heating elements of a thermal printing head such that the recording intensity is substantially the same at two different recording speeds. One of at least two given recording character modes is selectively set, each of the recording character modes setting a given different recording speed. At least the pulse amplitude of a driving electric power signal, which is selectively applied to the heating elements of the thermal head, is varied in accordance with the set recording character mode while keeping the pulse cycle of the driving electric power signal at a predetermined substantially constant period. The pulse amplitude of the driving electric power signal has a higher value when recording at a higher speed and a lower value when recording at a lower speed. In addition to controlling the amplitude of the driving electric power signal, it is possible to further control the pulse widths of the pulses forming the driving electric power signal.

  • Patent number: 4336120
Abstract: A method of fabricating a zinc oxide thin film by a sputtering process, wherein a substance, such as boron, having an ion radius smaller than that of zinc is sputtered in an oxygen atmosphere. A body of zinc and a body of such a substance may be separately provided as targets of a cathode so that such separate targets may be simultaneously sputtered to thereby produce a thin film such as mentioned above. Alternatively, use may be made of a cathode provided with a zinc target having a substance buried therein which has an ion radius smaller than that of zinc.

  • Patent number: 4233135
Abstract: In a method of fabricating a piezoelectric thin film of zinc oxide by means of a sputtering process, zinc and alkaline earth metal are sputtered together in an oxygen atmosphere to thereby produce zinc oxide containing the alkaline earth metal.
