  • Patent number: 11117975
Abstract: Antibodies that specifically bind to CD38, as well as constructs comprising such antibodies fused to attenuated interferon alpha-2B proteins are provided. Anti-CD38-attenuated interferon alpha-2b fusion constructs may be used to inhibit proliferation in cancerous cells that express both CD38 and the receptor for IFN-alpha2b, as well as to induce apoptosis in such cells. Inhibition of proliferation and induction of apoptosis in cancerous cells may serve as the basis for the treatment of the underlying cancer.

  • Patent number: 6662080
Abstract: An information medium collecting unit receives and collects information media to be recycled. An inspection unit inspects the information media collected at the information medium collecting unit. An electronic-data recording unit transfers and records electronic data stored in a storage unit onto the information media that are determined to be recyclable as a result of the inspection. A product holding unit holds the information media on which the electronic data is recorded. A product discharging unit discharges the information media held in the product holding unit, in accordance with a distribution request. Since the information media collected at a vending machine are processed inside of the vending machine for recycling and are turned into products inside of the vending machine for direct sale, information media to be discarded are reduced and thus cost to customers to obtain information can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6220082
Abstract: The leakage check system is applied to a vessel having a sealing valve unit that can close a gas passage and a liquid passage of the outlet port of the vessel. To determine the presence of a liquid leakage from the outlet port, there is provided an electrode for measuring liquid electrical conductivity. An actuator moves the electrode forward and backward relative to the outlet port. A forward part of the electrode is surrounded by a liquid receiver cup which is opposed to the outlet port during the leakage check of the liquid in the vessel. The forward part of the electrode is extended from a bottom of the liquid receiving cup. The liquid receiving cup is supplied with a dilution water from a water feeder. The vessel is conveyed by a conveyor with the vessel being upside down so that the outlet port is directed downwardly. The outlet port of the vessel is insertable into the liquid receiving cup.

  • Patent number: 5165371
Abstract: This choke device is characterized in that a starting pump 49 for supplying the fuel in a fuel tank 25 by suction to a starting nozzle port 41, is driven by a fuel motor 53. Starting of the engine is executed by the use of a starting motor or a recoil starter, by supplying the fuel in the fuel tank 25 to the starting nozzle port 41 through sucking of the fuel with the starting fuel pump 49 which is turned by the fuel motor 53, thereby facilitating the ignition by augmenting the concentration of the mixed gas.
