    Abstract: A liquid crystal display controller includes a circuit which generates a signal for driving a signal line with the polarity of the signal controlled by a control signal; an inductance element into which current flows in synchronization with the control signal; and a switching unit which connects selectively one of the inductance element and the circuit to the signal line. The signal line of a liquid crystal display device is driven by the inductance element, whereby the power consumption is reduced.
