Patent number: 6467891Abstract: A preliminary process for ejecting an ink after ejecting a processing liquid on a printing medium and a post-process for ejecting the processing liquid after ejecting the ink on the printing medium are distinguished. In one preferred mode, when a preliminarily process portion, in which an ink dot is formed after formation of a processing liquid dot, and a post-process portion, in which the processing liquid dot is formed after formation of the ink dot are present in admixing fashion, an ejection amount of the ink per unit area in the post-process portion is made smaller than the ejection amount of the ink per unit area in the preliminarily process portion. By this, a difference of printing quality in the preliminarily process portion and the post-process portion on the printing medium can be made smaller.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1998Date of Patent: October 22, 2002Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Jiro Moriyama, Tetsuro Inoue, Masao Kato, Minako Kato

Publication number: 20020121016Abstract: Disclosed is a microphone that can be highly integrated and can be manufactured easily. A light emission element and a light-receiving element mounted on a substrate are sealed with transparent resin, a groove is formed in the sealed portion between the light emission element and the light-receiving element, an optically non-transparent substance is inserted in the groove, and the optically non-transparent substance is adhered to the groove with transparent resin. Thereby, in comparison to the conventional method of cutting the sealed portion together with the substrate, forming an optically non-transparent film on the cut surface, and reintegrating the cut areas, with the present invention, the number of the alignment processes is reduced and the extra margin for the setting process is no longer unnecessary.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 5, 2001Publication date: September 5, 2002Inventors: Masahiko Moriguchi, Tetsuro Inoue, Alexander Paritsky, Alexander Kots

Publication number: 20020051553Abstract: Provided is a microphone with a stable output employing an aluminum membrane and having an air escape provided to the vibration detector. Specifically, the material used as the membrane frame material has a larger Young's modulus and a smaller thermal expansion coefficient than those of aluminum. Thereby, even if stress distribution or heat distribution is inflicted on the membrane frame, the slack or tension in the membrane will be reduced and the microphone output is stabilized.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2001Publication date: May 2, 2002Inventors: Masahiko Moriguchi, Tetsuro Inoue, Alexander Paritsky, Alexander Kots

Publication number: 20020021813Abstract: An optical microphone in which the difference between the sum of the thickness of a light emission element mounting substrate 3 and the height of a light emission element 1 and the sum of the thickness of a light-receiving element mounting substrate 4 and the height of a light-receiving element 2 is made smaller than the difference between the height of the light emission element 1 and the height of the light-receiving element 2. The optical path is thereby reduced, and the intensity of the light reaching the light-receiving element is increased, changes in the output of the light-receiving element caused by the vibration of the membrane film are increased, and the sensitivity of the microphone is increased. It is preferable that the sum of the thickness of the light emission element mounting substrate 3 and the height of the light emission element 1 and the sum of the thickness of a light-receiving element mounting substrate 4 and the height of the light-receiving element 2 are equal.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2001Publication date: February 21, 2002Inventors: Masahiko Moriguchi, Tetsuro Inoue, Alexander Paritsky, Alexander Kots

Patent number: 6189989Abstract: An ink jet printing apparatus has a station for dyeing a thread for embroidering by discharging ink onto the thread from an ink jet head. According to one aspect of the invention, a printing controller controls the amount of ink discharged per unit time onto the thread according to the speed of relative movement of the thread and the ink jet head. Another aspect of the invention accounts for the length of non-usable thread per unit time between an ink jet printing unit and the tip of an embroidery needle in an embroidery machine.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1997Date of Patent: February 20, 2001Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hiromitsu Hirabayashi, Hiroyuki Miyake, Sadayuki Sugama, Tetsuro Inoue, Miyuki Matsubara

Patent number: 5231507Abstract: An information signal recording/reproducing apparatus includes a recording apparatus and a reproducing apparatus. The recording apparatus is arranged to record on a recording medium an information signal after angle-modulating the signal in such a way as to cause a signal corresponding to a timewise portion of the angle-modulated information signal to be in a given relation to a reference signal. The reproducing apparatus is arranged to angle-demodulate the angle-modulated information signal when it is reproduced from the recording medium, and to perform time base correction on the basis of the signal part of the angle-modulated information signal. Time base variations occurring during the reproduction can be accurately carried out by the arrangement without having any special signal added to the information signal during recording.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 1992Date of Patent: July 27, 1993Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tsuguhide Sakata, Tetsuro Inoue, Saburou Nakazato, Kazuhito Ohashi, Toshihiko Mimura, Tokihiko Ogura, Yasutomo Suzuki, Tomohiko Sasatani, Somei Kawasaki
