Abstract: A communication system comprises a signal carrying apparatus having a first conductor portion (111) of which external shape is sheet-like and which serves as a conductor and a second conductor portion (121), and an interface device having a first electrode (1211) and a second electrode (1222) located near the first conductor portion (111), the normalized reactance derived from the reactance component of the sheet impedance in the signal carrying apparatus is not extremely smaller than 1, and the normalized distance derived from a distance between the signal carrying apparatus and the interface device made closer to substantially equal to 1 or less for transmitting the electromagnetic field in the leak region (141) between the signal carrying apparatus and the interface device and in the interval region (131) between the external shape of the first conductor portion (111) and the external shape of the second conductor portion (121).

Abstract: In a computer system having a double PCI bus configuration, an inter-bus control circuit for relaying a first PCI bus and a second PCI bus is provided with a memory control mechanism common to devices connected to the second PCI bus and an interrupt control mechanism for controlling interrupts between local processors, in addition to a control function for controlling the buses. The inter-bus control circuit having the above mechanisms can be implemented by a single-chip integrated circuit. The integrated inter-bus control circuit prevents the use of a plurality of identical decoder circuits, an increase in the number of parts, and an increase in mounting area, thus providing a compact and low price computer system.

Abstract: Publication articles each composed of a headline having relatively high information emphaticality and a text having relatively high information detailednessare coded on an article basis in an information provider apparatus. The coded information is transmitted to a user terminal. The transmitted information is first displayed on a display device of the user terminal in low magnification to display the headlines. The user selects a desired headline. The text corresponding to the selected headline is displayed in a magnification sufficient for making the displayed text legible. The novel setup realizes a publication contents information transmitting/viewing system by which a publication page can be viewed over and each can be read in generally the similar feeling and convenience as those of paper-based publications.
