  • Publication number: 20130188547
Abstract: In a mobile communication system, a service area is constituted of a plurality of cells each disposing a base station, and offers a multicast service to a mobile station apparatus in the service area, by transmitting multicast data to the base stations in the service area when a session initiation request includes a dynamic service area constitution identifier. A cell disposed a base station apparatus in which the mobile station apparatus exists as well as cells surrounding the concerned cell is determined as a dynamic service area and a session start request is transmitted to the base stations included in the service area. As a result, multicast data will be delivered to the base stations around which a mobile terminal exists, thus providing a mobile communication system which can perform efficient communication without using waste resources.

  • Publication number: 20100115106
Abstract: A session control method for a mobile communication system including a session control device for executing the control of sessions according to instructions from an application server, includes managing a group of plurality of communication terminals owned by same user and types of sessions processable by each of the communication terminals constituting the group. When a session establishment request is executed to any one of the plurality of communication terminals constituting the group, any one from the plurality of communication terminals comprising the group may be selected depending on type of session requested to be established, and the session connection to the selected communication terminal is executed. The constitution of the communication terminals of the group can be changed according to request from the communication terminals. The types of sessions processable by each of the communication terminals constituting the group can be changed according to request from the communication terminals.
