  • Publication number: 20090003882
Abstract: An insulator (12), which is provided between a lower electrode (11) by patterning a substrate and a counter electrode (15), defines a light emitting area by covering on ends of the lower electrode (11). The light emitting area (13) has a shape of which edges in a first direction of the substrate are defined by at least the insulator (12) and other edges in a second direction on the substrate different from the first direction are defined by one of the lower electrode (11) and the counter electrode (15). A plurality of the light emitting elements is placed independent electrically in the second direction on the substrate, whereby a light emitting array and an exposure apparatus is formed.

  • Publication number: 20080217604
Abstract: An organic semiconductor film that can be used for an electron device, for example, particularly can be used for organic TFTs so as to allow the TFTs to have advanced performance, is provided and a manufacturing method therefor is provided. For instance, the organic semiconductor film contains the organic conductive high polymer compound such as polythiophene represented by the below formula (I). The organic semiconductor film is formed by forming a solution in a thin film form, the solution showing two or more spectral peaks (spectral state B) in a wavelength region of 300 to 800 nm by measurement using a visible and ultraviolet absorption spectral method; and drying the solution formed in the thin film form. Alternatively, the organic semiconductor film can be formed by the method in which the organic conductive high polymer compound has a molecular weight distribution range Mw/Mn from 1.00 to 1.85, obtained by dividing a weight-average molecular weight Mw by a number-average molecular weight Mn.

  • Publication number: 20070235741
Abstract: To provide an exposure device and an image forming apparatus using the same, in which the exposure device can detect light intensity with improved reliability and thereby controls the light intensity with high precision, the exposure device includes an EL (electro-luminescence) element having a first electrode (an anode), a second electrode (a cathode), and a light emitting layer disposed between the first and second electrodes, thereby forming a light emitting unit, and a light detecting element detecting light emitted from the EL element, in which the EL element and the light detecting element are stacked onto each other. The light detecting element is provided at an inner side of a principal surface of the electrode (the anode) which is disposed closer to the light detecting element than the other electrode. A light emitting area of the EL element is provided at an inner side of a principal surface of the light detecting element.

  • Publication number: 20070229648
Abstract: To provide an exposure device which is capable of controlling light intensity with high precision by improving reliability of light intensity detection, and an image forming apparatus using the same, an exposure device includes a light emitting device array having a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices 110 arranged on a substrate, a light detecting device 120 that detects light emitted from the organic electroluminescence devices 110, and a light intensity detecting circuit C that processes an output of the light detecting device 120. The light intensity detecting unit C includes a capacitive element 140 connected to the light detecting device 120 and a select transistor 130 that is connected to the capacitive element 140 and draws out charges accumulated in the capacitive element 140. The select transistor 130 and the light detecting device 120 are isolated from each other with the capacitive element 140 interposed therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20070188584
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photoconductor 8 which bears an image to be formed by exposure, a light emission part 600 which emits light for exposing the photoconductor 8 to the light, and a light quantity measuring part 700 which measures the quantity of the light emitted from the light emission part 600 and outputs a light quantity measuring signal. The light quantity measuring signal of the light quantity measuring part 700 is sent through an engine control part 42 to a controller 41, and the quantity of the light emitted from the light emission part 600 is controlled so that the light quantity measuring signal becomes a predetermined value. Here, a sign indicating inclination (change rate) of the light quantity measuring signal of the light quantity measuring part 700 for temperature is matched with a sign indicating inclination (change rate) of sensitivity of the photoconductor 8 for temperature.

  • Publication number: 20070081068
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a controller 41setting exposure of organic electro-luminescent elements 63 used as light emitting elements, and exposure sensor units 57 for measuring the exposure of organic electro-luminescent elements 63. The controller 41 sets exposure so that the exposure of the organic electro-luminescent elements 63 when the exposure of the organic electro-luminescent elements 63 is measured is smaller than the exposure when images are formed.

  • Publication number: 20060209058
Abstract: An electronic paper having a display unit formed of a flexible sheet. The electronic paper comprises the display unit composed of a light-emitting device and a switching device and a drive unit composed of a drive circuit disposed at one edge of the display unit. The light-emitting device and the switching device both operate at low operating frequencies and are made of a flexible organic semiconductor. Since the hardness of the drive unit can be high, a semiconductor device having a high operating frequency such as a C-MOS is provided to the drive unit. Though the switching time is relatively long, the data setting time can be short. As a result, a sharp image can be produced.
