  • Patent number: 7199900
Abstract: An LUT1 preparation section 1 and an LUT2 preparation section 2 prepare an LUT1 and an LUT2 for producing linear output from first raw data or second raw data. Using the LUT1 and LUT2, an LUT1 conversion section 3 and an LUT2 inverse conversion section 4 convert CMYK of the first raw data and C?M?Y?K? of the second raw data into four color values adjusted, and an L matching LUT preparation section 5 prepares an L matching LUT so that the K value of the four color values adjusted becomes equal. A K preservation 4DLUT preparation section 6 prepares a K preservation 4DLUT from the four color values adjusted, the L matching LUT, and the Lab value of the first and second raw data. A 4DLUT reset section 7 resets some of data in the prepared K preservation 4DLUT, whereby partial calorimetric match is intended.

  • Patent number: 6441913
Abstract: Image data combined of a first piece of and a second piece of image data and selection data to selectively designate one of the first piece or the second piece of image data is input to an input portion 1. Those data are expanded by an expanding portion 4. A first image-structure recognizing portion 2 (second image-structure recognizing portion 3) recognizes the image structure of the first (second) piece of image data. A first image-structure converting portion 5 (second image-structure converting portion 6) converts the recognized image structure of the first (second) piece of image data to the image structure of an output device 9. Those image data and the selection data are expanded. A combining portion 7 combines the first piece and the second piece of image data having the same image structure as of the output device while successively selecting the first piece or the second piece of image data on a basis of the selection data, and outputs the combined image data to the output device 9.

  • Patent number: 6219454
Abstract: Formatted code data are sequentially input to an input terminal A. A receiving section 11 passes a header portion etc. to a control section 16, and causes selection codes (output to CDS) and text color codes (output to CDC) to be stored sequentially in a storage section 15. When pattern codes are output to CDI and input to an expansion section 12b, the control section 16 reads out the selection codes and the text color codes from the storage section 15 with such timing that pixels at the same position are output simultaneously from image conversion sections 13a-13c, and inputs those codes to expansion sections 12a and 12c. The respective compressed codes are expanded by the expansion sections 12a-12c, converted by the image conversion sections if necessary, and then input to a composing section 14. At this time point, respective data corresponding to pixels are timed with each other, which allows a correct composing process to be executed in the composing section 14.

  • Patent number: 6091518
Abstract: An image transfer apparatus cooperates with an image reception and reproduction means to reduce network burden while transferring profile information. Specifically, a profile storage device is connected to a network. The profile storage device stores profile information for a color correction made to color image information on color image information prepared from object information. An image transmission device transmits profile specification information specifying the profile information corresponding to the color image information or the object information together with the color image information or the object information. A receiving device receives the color image information or the object information and the profile specification information transmitted by the image transmission means. A call device requests profile information specified by the profile specification information received by the reception device from the profile storage device.

  • Patent number: 5978522
Abstract: An image processing apparatus applied to an image processing system wherein a plurality of image input units and a plurality of image output units are used. A spatial frequency characteristic conversion section receives a spatial frequency characteristic in a preparation process of image data from an image input unit or its driver and a spatial frequency characteristic of a selected image output unit from an output device information storage section. An ideal transfer characteristic of the whole system is previously stored in the spatial frequency characteristic conversion section and a transfer function of the spatial frequency characteristic conversion section itself is set so as to realize the ideal transfer characteristic.
