  • Publication number: 20020069847
Abstract: An engine output shaft drives an engine driven pump. The engine driven pump pressurizes oil. An accumulator accumulates the pressurized oil. An electric motor drives a motor driven pump. When the engine rotates low speed, both the engine driven pump and the motor driven pump supply oil to an oil chamber of a belt type continuously variable transmission. If it is required to enlarge a capacity of the oil chamber quickly, the pressurized oil in the accumulator is supplied to the motor driven pump. The motor driven pump further pressurizes the pressurized oil in the accumulator and supplies it into the oil chamber. It is possible to supply a sufficient amount of oil to the continuously variable transmission. Additionally, since the system may be constructed by using a small type engine driven pump, it is possible to improve fuel efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20020039445
Abstract: An arbitrary-shape image-processing device comprises a CCD by which a two-dimensional image is obtained. The image may be rectangular, and a contour of an image area contained in the image may be a circle. Pixel values contained in the image area are converted to a one-dimensional data array, and are recorded in a recording medium. Further, the numbers of pixels of the vertical and the lateral lengths of the two-dimensional image, the coordinates of the center of the circle of the image area, and the radius of the circle are recorded in the recording medium as shape information. Thus, all of the image data of the two-dimensional image is not recorded in the recording medium, but only the image data contained in the image area and the shape information are recorded.

  • Patent number: 6366405
Abstract: A diffractive-refractive achromatic lens that has a positive resultant power includes a refractive lens system and a positive diffractive grating. The refractive lens system is provided with a positive lens having relatively small dispersion, a negative lens having relatively large dispersion and an additional refractive lens. The additional refractive lens is a positive lens. The refractive lens system exhibits longitudinal chromatic aberration that is substantially proportional to wavelength such that the back focus of the refractive lens system decreases as the wavelength becomes shorter. The positive diffractive grating corrects the longitudinal chromatic aberration of the refractive lens system. The condition 0.005<f/fD<0.2 is satisfied where f is the focal length of the entire lens system, and fD is the focal length of said positive diffractive grating.

  • Patent number: 6356817
Abstract: A power output unit of the present invention sufficiently ensures the performance of a vehicle by sufficiently developing the performance of an engine without enlarging a motor. In a hybrid vehicle, a power requirement for the engine is set based on a vehicle speed and an accelerator opening degree. Usually, while giving priority to efficiency, an operation state of the engine is set based on a power requirement. Once the operation state of the engine is set, operation states of first and second motors are set based on a vehicle speed and a drive force. If the thus-set operation state of the first or second motor exceeds a threshold value, the operation state of the first or second motor is set so as not to exceed the threshold value. Based on the setting result and the power requirement, an operation state of the engine is set.

  • Publication number: 20020023540
Abstract: A discharge gas containing PFC gas including CF4 and NF3 generated from a manufacturing process (10) is adsorbed at an adsorbing device (18) and then desorbed using nitrogen as a purge gas. A desorbed gas with CF4 and NF3 concentrated can be obtained in this manner. The desorbed gas is then supplied to a chromatographic separator (20) for chromatographic separation with nitrogen as a carrier gas. In this manner, CF4 and NF3 within the PFC gas can be separated. In particular, because the gas is once concentrated at the adsorbing device (18), chromatographic separation of the gas constituents can be efficiently performed. By independently concentrating CF4 and NF3 obtained by the chromatographic separation, high purity gas constituents of the PFC gas can be obtained, and reused at the manufacturing process (10).

  • Patent number: 6314247
Abstract: A view finder device has a Poro prism and a first optical system facing an emergent plane of the Poro prism. The first optical system is positioned beside the Poro prism and opposite to a recording medium passage through which an electro-developing recording medium is moved. A relay optical system is provided behind the recording medium passage, so that the eye point of the view finder is separated from the first optical system. A second optical system is provided behind the relay optical system, so that the image formed by the relay optical system is observed. • Publication number: 20010030694
Abstract: a digital still camera with an image sensor exposes the image sensor to capture a series of still images. The signal processor generates a series of one frame worth of color image signals. The color temperature setter defines a standard color temperature corresponding to the illuminating-light, and defines at least one shifted color temperature, which is different relative to the standard color temperature by a given amount. The color balance adjuster that adjusts a relative color balance with respect to red, green and blue color signal components in each of the series of one frame worth of color image signals, in accordance with the standard color temperature and the shifted color temperature. At this time, the color balance adjuster adjusts the relative color balance, by changing the color temperature in each of the series of one frame worth of color image signals.
