  • Publication number: 20090077757
Abstract: There is provided a shoe bottom repair agent consisting of one-component thermosetting composition comprising as main ingredients a terminal isocyanate having urethane prepolymer and/or a polyisocyanate compound and a latent curing agent. This shoe bottom repair agent is free from, experienced in use of solvent base shoe bottom repair agents, safety and sanitation problems such as odor and inflammation by solvent evaporated at the time of curing as well as cured matter thickness reduction of a mended part caused by solvent evaporation. With use of this shoe bottom repair agent, damaged shoe bottom portion can be mended to a desired shape through one-time repair work. Short-time curing can be effected by heating. Further, before heating, there is substantially no viscosity increase and no surface film is formed to avoid adhesion of a film resulting from surface drying to a spatula. Therefore, the repair surface can be finished smoothly and neatly.

  • Publication number: 20080248161
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for producing a material which contains xylo-oligosaccharides being rich in xylobiose and xylotriose, an antioxidant active substance and a dietary fiber, and which is useful as a food material and a health supplement, by a simple process, with efficiency, and at a low cost. The method comprises the steps of: subjecting a hemicellulose-containing plant resource such as bagasse to a steam treatment followed by an explosion treatment (2.5 Mpa, 70 seconds); mixing wheat bran into this steamed and exploded material; adjusting water content of this mixture to about 50%; subsequently, preparing koji with the use of a koji fungus having a high xylanase activity obtained by conducting single spore isolation from Aspergillus sojae (NFRI1147); adding water to the koji thus obtained; mixing the steamed and exploded material into a koji dispersion wherein koji is dispersed in water; adjusting water content of this mixture to about 50%; and subsequently, fermenting the mixture.

  • Patent number: 6806113
Abstract: An optical waveguide is formed on a substrate made of a material with an electro-optic effect. Then, an intermediate layer is fabricated, on the main surface of the substrate, by a dielectric material selected from the group consisting of AOx, B2Oy, COz (A: divalent element, B: trivalent element, C: quadrivalent element, 0<x<1, 0<y<3, 0<z<2, O: oxygen). Then, a metal-cladding type optical polarizer is fabricated on the intermediate layer and the optical waveguide. A buffer layer is formed and partially removed by non-reactive dry-etching to form a first opening. Subsequently, a metal-cladding type optical polarizer is fabricated inside the first opening, and a signal electrode and a ground electrode, constituting a modulation electrode, are fabricated on the buffer layer.

  • Patent number: 5603742
Abstract: A dust removing apparatus includes a filter and mounting frame which prevent leakage of dirty gas and improve the collection factor of soot dust even if dirty gas of a high temperature is subjected to a dust removing operation. The apparatus includes a filter element held in a filter element mounting frame, wherein a flange is disposed on an end of the filter element located on the side which receives dirty gas, and wherein the side of the flange opposite the dirty gas side is pressed against a flange of the filter element mounting frame. A seal packing is disposed between the filter flange and frame flange to seal the elements. Further, a plurality of honeycomb filter elements structured as above may be collected and accommodated to form a honeycomb pack.

  • Patent number: 5518513
Abstract: A dust removing apparatus suppresses pressure and temperature variations of cleaned gas to facilitate the removal of dust. A clean gas chamber delimited by a plurality of porous ceramic tubular filter elements is divided in two by a partition wall. The respective chambers are connected through discrete outlet pipes to a clean gas main pipe, and backwashing devices are provided in the respective outlet pipes. Furthermore, a porous ceramics filter element is provided on a bottom partition plate so that the gas flow velocity in the tubular filter elements can be insured to prevent dust from adhering thereto.
