The present invention relates to positive electrode active substance particles for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, comprising lithium composite oxide particles having a layered rock salt structure which are chemically reacted with at least Li and comprise at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Co and Mn, and tungsten oxide particles, in which W is present in an amount of 0.1 to 4.0 mol % based on a total molar amount of Ni, Co and Mn in the lithium composite oxide particles, and the tungsten oxide particles have an average secondary particle diameter of 0.1 to 3.0 ?m.
