    Abstract: In a power converting apparatus having a plurality of phases on an AC side and configured to perform conversion between DC power and AC power, a current detector detects currents flowing through a DC source line through which a plurality of phase currents commonly flow. A control unit sets a current detection period and a succeeding current control period in each successive control cycle. Using first gate signals based on reference gate signals for PWM control, the control unit calculates values of the individual phase currents from the first gate signals and the detected currents during the current detection period. Then, during the current control period, the control unit performs PWM control using phase voltage commands generated by correcting phase voltage target values so as to cancel out voltage errors that occur during the current detection period.

The voltage commands output by the controller are obtained by superimposing, on fundamental voltages for driving the rotary electric machine, position detection voltages which each have a cycle equal to m times of the switching cycle and which are different in phase among respective phases.

In a data transfer system including a first DMA 1142 of a channel control unit 11 and an MP 122 of a processor unit 12 that sets a transfer parameter in the first DMA 1142, while CKD format data 1400 is transferred from a cache memory 14 to a memory 113 of the channel control unit 11, the MP 122 acquires a C field 1411 from the cache memory 14 and sets a transfer parameter in the first DMA 1142 on the basis of the acquired C field 1411, the transfer parameter having attached thereto the C field 1411 and being used for transferring a K field 1412 from the cache memory 14 to the memory 113. The first DMA 1142 retrieves the C field 1411 attached to the transfer parameter, stores the C field 1411 in the memory 113, and transfers the K field from the cache memory 14 to the memory 113 according to the transfer parameter.

    Abstract: After supply of power, a liquid crystal display device performing transition from a first state to a second state different from the first state before a display operation is provided with a transition nucleus forming portion around a pixel electrode or inside. The transition nucleus forming portion performs transition to the second state prior to other portion during a transition drive period. The transition nucleus forming portion of the pixel electrode has an edge portion formed into a reverse taper shape decreasing in its thickness toward the tip end. Therefore, transition from a splay alignment to a bend alignment is performed with simple element and drive circuit configuration in all pixels.

In performing the data transfer of the fixed-length data to the cache memory, the fixed-length DMA divides the variable-length data into multiple sets of the fixed-length data each having a data size equivalent to a unit size of data managed in the cache memory, and adds a first integrity code to the last fixed-length data set of the fixed-length data sets generated by the division, the first integrity code being generated based on the entire variable-length data.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, the liquid crystal shutter is equipped with a first liquid crystal panel in the OCB mode to control the transmissivity of the light entering into left eye and a second liquid crystal panel in the OCB mode to control the transmissivity of the light entering into right eye, and a drive portion to control the transmissivity. The drive portion applies a normal voltage of a normal drive in a pulse shape and a retention voltage having a pulse shape with lower frequency than the normal voltage or lower voltage than normal voltage to the first liquid crystal panel and the second liquid crystal panel. The drive portion switches between the normal drive and the retention drive while maintaining bend alignment state.
