  • Patent number: 7194678
Abstract: In comparison to unnecessary page generation of the prior art, the page generation time according to the current invention is substantially reduced, and the generated page is efficiently accessed. Since in response to at least one of a predetermined set of update events, a page is dynamically generated in advance of a user page request and the dynamically generated page is stored, the current invention allows the efficient page access. The efficient page access is accomplished by storing the dynamically generated page as a static page at a URL identified by a page access call with an argument. Thus, the user accesses the previously generated dynamic page at a high-speed. The use of the prior art technologies such as proxy servers in combination further improves the cost of transmission of the page to the user according to the current invention.

  • Patent number: 6446050
Abstract: In an electronic document circulating method of circulating an electronic document having a plurality of data blocks to a plurality of workers, a data block in a document is encrypted by using an encrypting key corresponding to a certain worker, and a document having the encrypted data block is transmitted and received over a network. A time necessary for encrypting and decrypting an electronic form may be reduced. The encrypted data block in the document is decrypted by using a decrypting key corresponding to a specific worker, and it is determined how to display the data block and execute a processing in response to whether or not the encrypted data block is decrypted correctly or the existence of the data block.

  • Patent number: 5903762
Abstract: A client computer obtains an execution file name of an application to be started from the constitution file information thereof and notifies the application distribution request information to a server computer and upon receipt of it, the server computer obtains the execution file name of the application, distributes a file constituting the application to the client computer when the client computer is registered in the license information, decides whether the distribution of the application succeeds or not from the notification result, and starts the application by the client computer. By doing this, generation and use of an application program are realized in the same development environment and even if an application in the client computer is updated at the start of the application, an application requested to the client computer from the server computer can be set up automatically and remotely.

  • Patent number: 5864857
Abstract: In a multi-dimensional data management method in a database management system, a collection of members constituting each dimension is grouped and page indexes constituted by entries corresponding to combinations of member groups of each dimension are assigned to a memory unit. A set of member groups corresponding to input data is determined from a set of members of dimensions specifying the input data and an entry of page index corresponding to the set of member groups is obtained. When a page number is not registered in said obtained entry, a page is assigned in the memory unit and the page number of the page is registered in the entry. The input data and identification information of the data are paired to be stored in the page having the page number registered in the entry.

  • Patent number: 5765005
Abstract: With employment of a computer, table format data is arranged to produce a desirable form in accordance with the following sequential operation. The designated data table is displayed on a relational table display window, and a base record is set with respect to the relational table on this window. An arranging display window is produced, and an allocation and an initialization of a memory region are performed. A basic portion of the form is created by arranging the data from the relational data to the arranging display window. Furthermore, repeating data among the arranged data is designated, and then a repeating parameter for designating the sort of repeating process and also the display position during the repeating representation are inputted, and thereafter the repeating process is applied to the designated data based upon these parameter and display position, whereby a form is created.

  • Patent number: 5065400
Abstract: In a method for editing and executing a program in a processing apparatus, the program is subdivided into modules which are units for validating correction thereof. A control table is provided having a flag for each module to indicate whether or not an edited program associated therewith has been corrected. Each time a program is corrected, the correction thereof is registered to the table, thereby only permitting the execution of a program module for which the pertinent flag of the table indicates the program correction.

  • Patent number: 4903215
Abstract: In a production system having a memory for storing a group of rules each comprising a condition part and a conclusion part, inference means for inferring by using the group of rules and a working memory, whether a condition part is true or false in the working memory is determined, and if it cannot be determined, a rule having a conclusion part as to whether the fact is true or false is searched, and the conclusion part of the searched rule is used for backward reasoning. If the rule is not found by the search, an inquiry is made to a user.

  • Patent number: 4853873
Abstract: An information processing system which has a portion for storing metaknowledge and a portion for utilizing the metaknowledge stored in said storage portion. In newly acquiring knowledge, the utilizing portion utilizes the metaknowledge stored in said storage portion. A knowledge input prompting function that works to utilize the metaknowledge makes reference to metaknowledge in the metaknowledge memory function, looks for knowledge that is lacking, and prompts the input thereof. An input knowledge checking function which also utilizes the metaknowledge makes reference to metaknowledge to look for constraint related to the input knowledge, and evaluates whether it is satisfied or not. These utilization functions make it possible to keep the justification and consistency of knowledge acquired.

  • Patent number: 4651284
Abstract: The structure of a circuit which is given basic net data is stored as a pattern, the compliance of the basic net data with the pattern is checked by the separately prepared search function, and upon fulfillment of compliance the pattern is determined to exist within the circuit. The subcircuit to be recognized by elements is not directly defined, but is defined using an intermediate expression defined recursively so as to implement a search through pattern matching. In another form, one input terminal is specified, which is followed by a search for blocks having the terminal as an input node and the search for blocks having one of the output node strings as an input node recursively and cyclically until the output terminal is reached, so as to extract a string of nodes on which the signal is propagated. The system is provided with functions for recognizing and comprehending subsidiary structures of the circuit which are not defined by the entered net data.
