  • Patent number: 8676005
Abstract: A light guide for a light source device includes a core layer which is formed from a transparent resin and has a refractive index n1 and cladding layers which are provided on both surfaces thereof and have a refractive index n2 which is lower than the refractive index n1 of the core layer. A light reflecting layer which scatters and reflects light is provided in the front surface of one cladding layer, the front surface of the other cladding layer is set as a light emitting face, and a recess is provided which reaches from at least one of either of the front surface of the one cladding layer or the front surface of the other cladding layer to the core layer passing through the cladding layer.

  • Publication number: 20090213464
Abstract: Provides a light polarizing sheet which is easy to manufacture, offers the functionality of conventional multiple sheet structures, and satisfies both the luminance and viewing angle characteristics required for liquid crystal televisions and the like. The light polarizing sheet of the present invention comprises a first polarizing lens sheet including a sheet-shaped substrate and a first lens portion formed on one face of the substrate; and a second polarizing lens sheet including a sheet-shaped substrate and a second lens portion formed on one face of the substrate, having a flat portion on its tip; wherein the flat portion of the second lens portion on the second polarizing lens sheet and the other face of the substrate of the first polarizing lens sheet are adhered using a transparent material.

  • Patent number: 5771704
Abstract: A control apparatus of an air conditioner for stabilizing operating frequency of a compressor so as to prevent noise caused by hunting and to improve durability of the compressor. A frequency controller for controlling operating frequency of a compressor and a resistor for detecting an electric current flowing through the compressor are provided. A frequency reducer for reducing a frequency step of a compressor motor at a predetermined speed when a supply current of the compressor motor has reached a predetermined value and a frequency retainer for terminating frequency reducing operation of the frequency reducer when the supply current of the compressor motor has been decreased to the predetermined value and retaining a present frequency step until a predetermined period of time has elapsed are also provided.

  • Patent number: 5533351
Abstract: A reversibly operatable refrigerant circulating circuit (1) is formed in such a manner that a compressor (21), an outdoor heat exchanger (23), a motor-operated expansion valve (25) through which refrigerant flows in both directions and an indoor heat exchanger (31) are connected in this order. Between the motor-operated expansion valve (25) and the indoor heat exchanger (31), there is provided a refrigerant regulator (4) for regulating a circulation amount of refrigerant in a cooling operation cycle and storing liquefied refrigerant in a heating operation cycle. The refrigerant regulator (4) has a first flow pipe (42) to which the outdoor heat exchanger (23) is connected and a second flow pipe (43) which has plural refrigerant holes (45, 45 . . . ) and to which the indoor heat exchanger (31) is connected.

  • Patent number: 5306746
Abstract: The present invention relates to a resin composition which selectively absorbs light of the wavelength band in the vicinity of wavelength 580 nm, as well as to the optical products to be formed from this resin composition. The beads possessing light selective function are formed from a transparent polymer which contains a neodymium compound: these beads are then dispersed in a transparent resin composition. Comparing to the case when the neodymium compound is directly dispersed in the resin composition, a large amount of neodymium compound can be added to the resin composition without decreasing the mechanical and thermal properties of the resin composition.
