  • Patent number: 11560039
Abstract: A vehicular heater includes a heat medium circuit connected to a heater core that heats vent air via heat exchange with a heat medium. The heat medium circuit includes a first flow path connected to the heater core through a power unit, and a second flow path arranged in parallel with the first flow path and connected to the heater core through a heat source different from the power unit. A controller adjusts a first flow rate of the heat medium in the first flow path to be larger than a second flow rate of the heat medium in the second flow path when the power unit is operating.

  • Patent number: 11446983
Abstract: An electronic control unit is applied to an air conditioner, the air conditioner including a heating unit which heats a heat medium, a casing which allows an air flow to circulate toward a compartment, a blower which generates the air flow in the casing, and a heat exchanger disposed in the casing that heats the air flow by exchanging heat between the heat medium heated by the heating unit and the air flow. The blower air volume of the blower is controlled based on a first candidate value determined based on an estimated blowing temperature, and a second candidate value determined based on a required blowing air temperature and the estimated blowing temperature. The second candidate value is set as a predetermined value when a warm-up operation of the heating unit is completed.

  • Publication number: 20040172960
Abstract: In a normal control of a vehicle air conditioner, a control unit controls a compressor so that a work amount of the compressor is maintained at a target work amount calculated based on a heat load. In a cut control, the control unit controls the compressor so that the work amount is forcibly reduced smaller than the target work amount. When the cut control is set from the normal control, the cut control is continued for a predetermined time and then is changed to the normal control again. In this case, the work amount of the compressor immediately after the predetermined time passes is corrected to be increased. Thus, the target work amount of the compressor immediately after the cut control is increased larger than the target work amount calculated based on the heat load. Therefore, suitable air conditioning can be performed immediately after the cut control.

  • Patent number: 6352102
Abstract: According to the present invention, in an air conditioning apparatus setting a double laminar mode in which inside air and outside air are blown while being partitioned, when the maximum heating state (including the high heating capacity close to the maximum heating operation) is set, a warm air bypass door for introducing warm air directly into a foot opening portion, without being mixed into cool air, functions as a movable partition member for partitioning an air passage at a downstream side of a heating heat exchanger, into an inside air passage and an outside air passage. In this way, it is possible to downsize the air conditioning unit.

  • Patent number: 6217297
Abstract: An electric motor-driven compressor is positioned closer to the center of gravity of an engine than a compression mechanism, and is mounted in such a manner that an axial direction of an electric motor is parallel to a crank shaft of the engine. Therefore, a vibration force produced by the engine and applied to the electric motor is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6142864
Abstract: A blower unit includes a centrifugal fan, a fan casing forming a scroll-shaped air passage and accommodating the centrifugal fan, and a partition wall for partitioning an interior of the fan casing into first and second air passages in which different kinds of airs flow, respectively, in the axial direction. The partition wall is molded integrally to the fan casing so as to extend linearly from the inner wall surface of the fan casing toward a radial inside of the fan. The fan casing includes two divided cases having a divided face in the axial direction. In this way, the number of divided cases can be as well as the number of steps of assembling the fan casing can be reduced so that the work efficiency for assembling the fan casing is improved.

  • Patent number: 6135201
Abstract: In an air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle, a double layer flow mode is set when the maximum heating state is set during an air outlet mode where both a foot opening portion and a defroster opening portion are opened. During the double layer flow mode, an air passage of an air conditioning case is partitioned into a first air passage through which inside air flows and a second air passage through which outside air flows, in such a manner that the first air passage communicates with the foot opening portion and the second air passage communicates with the defroster opening portion. When the double layer flow mode is set, the maximum rotation speed of a blower for blowing air is reduced by a predetermined level as compared with an entire outside air mode or an entire inside air mode. Thus, heating capacity for a passenger compartment of the vehicle can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6021957
Abstract: A motor vehicle air conditioner that is operative to cause the quantity of conditioned air to change smoothly when an air conditioner bypass passage is opened/closed. When a user switches a typical automotive air conditioner between a bi-level flow mode and a full outer-air mode, a warm-air bypass door does not stop at an intermediate position, thus causing both air quantity of conditioned air and blown-air temperature of conditioned air to change greatly. In the air conditioner of the present invention, the air conditioner warm-air bypass door stops once at an intermediate position, thus enabling the air quantity of the conditioned air and the temperature change in the blown-air to change gradually.
