  • Publication number: 20160035451
Abstract: A radiation image capturing system capable of improving image quality of a radiation image is provided. A position of a joint of a grid is determined in consideration of displacement of an angle of incidence of radiation on a grid unit and a radiation detector group, and a joint image caused by the joint of the grid is prevented from being included in a search range of a position of a boundary in the radiation image captured by the radiation detector. The joint of the grid is provided in a position away ±(y1+2×y2)×tan? or more from a position of a step of the radiation detector.

  • Publication number: 20150297167
Abstract: An FPD detects an X-ray image of an object. The FPD includes a plurality of pixels arranged in its image capturing field. Each pixel receives X-rays emitted from an X-ray source, and outputs a pixel value in accordance with an X-ray dose applied thereto. A pixel determiner determines a minimum-value pixel out of the pixels based on the pixel values of the pixels. The minimum-value pixel is a pixel whose pixel value is the lowest. The pixel determiner sets the minimum-value pixel as an exposure control pixel. A comparator compares a first integrated value, which is an integrated value of the pixel values of the minimum-value pixel, with a predetermined first threshold value. The comparator performs X-ray emission control such that, when the first integrated value has reached the first threshold value, the X-ray source stops emitting the X-rays.

  • Patent number: 8523434
Abstract: An X-ray imaging system is provided with an FPD and an image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus is provided with a CPU, a coefficient table, an interpolator and a residual image remover. The CPU acquires an image taken with the FPD. A plurality of coefficients each corresponding to a parameter that changes an attenuation curve are previously stored in the coefficient table. The attenuation curve represents time-varying attenuation of a residual image of the previous image. In a case where the coefficient corresponding to a parameter of the present exposure is not contained in the coefficient table, an appropriate coefficient is calculated by interpolation based on the coefficients contained in the coefficient table. The residual image remover calculates the residual image based on the stored coefficient or the calculated coefficient and a time lapse between the previous and subsequent exposures, and removes the residual image from the present image.

  • Publication number: 20130077746
Abstract: Sample data is stored in a console of an electronic cassette (image detection panel). The sample data corresponds to a model of the electronic cassette and includes sample images captured using different doses before a shipment of the electronic cassette. In initial setting processing of an imaging condition including the dose, the sample data is read out and a dose selection screen in which the sample images are arranged is displayed on a display. In the dose selection screen, the sample images are arranged in a tiled manner in an ascending or descending order of their doses (densities). A user compares the sample images to select the sample image with the density suitable for diagnosis. The dose corresponding to the selected sample image is set as an initial value.

  • Patent number: 8253110
Abstract: On control charge information, which is obtained from an on-controlled detection element, is acquired with respect to each of the detection elements of a radiation detector, and off control charge information, which corresponds to the on-controlled detection element, is acquired with respect to each of predetermined detection element intervals. Element interpolated off control charge information representing the off control charge information having not been acquired is formed by performing an interpolating operation in accordance with the off control charge information having been acquired with respect to each of the predetermined detection element intervals. The on control charge information is corrected with the corresponding off control charge information or the corresponding element interpolated off control charge information.

  • Patent number: 7912254
Abstract: Trimming is automatically performed on an image by inferring a person and a background in which the photographer of the image has interest. Facial images FP1 and FP2 are detected in a whole image P, and the vertical direction of the whole image P is judged based the facial images FP1 and FP2. Further, processing is performed using the information about the vertical direction to discriminate whether the composition of the whole image P is portrait-mode composition or landscape-mode composition. If it is judged that the facial image FP1 is positioned on the lower side of the whole image, and if a composition discrimination unit discriminates that the composition of the whole image P is landscape-mode composition, trimming is automatically performed using a trimming frame TG10 that has portrait-mode composition.

  • Patent number: 7822179
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and method for processing a radiation image. For a subject area, a radiation image signal corrected for leak charge is obtained by subtracting, from a GateOn signal obtained by turning on a transistor switch of a detecting element of a radiation detector, a GateOff signal obtained by turning off the transistor switch. A threshold value is less than or equal to a pixel saturation value. For an unblocked area where the radiation image signal is greater than the threshold value, the GateOn signal is utilized as the radiation image signal.

  • Patent number: 7719714
Abstract: There is disclosed technology of a color conversion definition for converting coordinate points in a color reproduction area of a printer into coordinate points in a color reproduction area of a print. This technology makes it possible to increase the degree of freedom of designation for K-plate restraint conditions of print, and also permit to widely take the color reproduction area within the range of ink total amount limitation. The vertex of K is established to be points (C, M, Y, K)=(CSH, MSH, YSH, KSH) in which K-plate restraint conditions are designated. There is created a virtual device profile tracing the color reproduction area of a print on not only edge lines coupling W with C, M and Y, and edge lines coupling K with R, G and B, but also diagonals edge lines coupling W with R, G and B, and diagonals edge lines coupling K with C, M and Y.

  • Patent number: 7633658
Abstract: In a color conversion definition process, first, a profile of a virtual device having a color reproduction range that well simulates a color reproduction range of a printing system is produced. A first color conversion is then defined so as to convert a coordinate point in a color reproduction range of a printer expressed in a first RGB color space to a coordinate point in the color reproduction range of the virtual device expressed in a second RGB color space dependent on the virtual device. A second color conversion is then defined so as to convert a coordinate point in the color reproduction range of the virtual device expressed in the second RGB color space to a coordinate point in the color reproduction range of the printing system expressed in the CMYK color space. The resultant coordinate point represents a color very similar to a color represented by the printing system.
