  • Patent number: 9837643
Abstract: A film covered battery has a battery element equipped with a plurality of electrode plates laminated via separators, and an exterior film for hermetically sealing the battery element. A cover film is attached to a hollow present in predetermined regions set on a surface of the exterior film. The predetermined regions are regions obtained by removing overlap regions from projected regions obtained by projecting the electrode plates to the surface of the exterior film, the overlap regions being regions where the projected regions overlap with members interposed between the electrode plates at the outermost layers and the exterior film. It is possible to cover the hollow on the surface, without increasing the thickness of the film covered battery.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 5, 2011
Date of Patent: December 5, 2017
Assignees: AUTOMOTIVE ENERGY SUPPLY CORPORATION, NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD.
