  • Patent number: 4565907
Abstract: An ignition distributor for an internal combustion engine with reduced electric discharge energy and suppressed radio noise generation comprises a rotor electrode capable of rotary motion and a plurality of stationary electrodes arranged substantially in a circle around the rotor electrode through an electric discharge clearance therebetween, where the rotor electrode is a sintered mixture comprising an aluminum compound and/or a boron compound and silicon carbide and having a specific resistance of 10 to 10.sup.6 .OMEGA.cm at room temperature.

  • Patent number: 4528121
Abstract: Electroconductive ceramic materials with high density, high mechanical strength, high endurance to repeated current supply and excellent thermal shock resistance can be obtained by mixing 5 to 70 parts by weight of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 or alumina ceramic materials containing 95% by weight or more of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and 30 to 95 parts by weight of at least one electroconductive material selected from of ZrB.sub.2, ZrC, ZrN, ZrSi.sub.2, TaB.sub.2, TaC, TaN, TaSi.sub.2, TiB.sub.2, TiC, TiN, Mo.sub.2 B.sub.5 and MoSi.sub.2 adding a molding binder, molding the mixture and sintering the molded mixture. The electroconductive ceramic is usable for heaters, glow plug heaters, electrical gas ignitors, kerosine gasifying burners, and electrodes or conductors for water processing or dialysis.

  • Patent number: 4151502
Abstract: A semiconductor transducer comprises a semiconductor strain gauge composed of a mono-crystalline semiconducting material and a strain sensing region formed in a first main surface of the mono-crystalline semiconducting material, and a strain measuring member coupled to the semiconductor strain gauge through an alloy material. An electrical insulating layer is attached to a second main surface of the mono-crystalline semiconducting material which is coupled to the strain measuring member through the alloy material. The insulating layer is extended to a side surface of the mono-crystalline semiconducting material thereby to cover the same side.

  • Patent number: 4105810
Abstract: An alkyl compound of zinc is reacted with alkyl compounds or alkoxyl compounds of boron and silicon in the presence of oxygen, thereby to deposit on a substrate zinc borosilicate glass film through a chemical vapor deposition process. The outlet nozzle of a raw material supply conduit for introducing the raw material compounds into a reaction zone is opened in the direction substantially in parallel with a surface of the substrate on which the glass film is to be deposited so that raw materials may be well mixed at the reaction zone. The glass film thus produced has a uniform thickness and a homogeneous composition of the constituents over an area at least of 40 mm extending from the nozzle and is suited for use as protection films for semiconductor devices and dielectric layer for a thin film capacitor on an industrial base.
