  • Patent number: 4327322
Abstract: A bidirectional current supply circuit for nerve stimulation including current-level adjusters and a mode switch having two operating conditions. One condition provides for operation solely with one adjuster in series circuit for common control of the level of current flowing in opposite directions through a load connected to the circuit. The other condition provides for operation with a pair of adjusters substantially in parallel circuit with each other for independent level-control of current flowing in reverse directions through a load.

  • Patent number: 4318108
Abstract: A transmission/reception antenna for electromagnetic energy of a selected wavelength. The antenna features a central radiation-effective expanse which, in the case of transmission, functions as a driven element, and in the case of reception, functions as a main receiving element. Cooperating with this expanse is a focusing lens which produces simultaneously on opposite sides of the antenna a pair of symmetrically spaced focal points relative to the expanse--such points being separated by a distance substantially equaling one-half the mentioned selected wavelength.

  • Patent number: 4234844
Abstract: A noncontacting apparatus and method for following the changes in impedance of a substance located within a specified investigation zone. A bidirectionally focused electromagnetic beam, having a pair of foci, is aimed with one of its foci located adjacent such a zone. A receiver located adjacent the other one of its foci is monitored for electrical changes therein, and such changes are interpreted as indications of impedance changes in the selected zone.

  • Patent number: 4102347
Abstract: A constant current supply circuit including a changeable-level compliance voltage source whose output voltage is automatically reduced whenever the impedance of a load connected to the circuit exceeds a predetermined value. A sampling resistor is provided in the path for load current, and this resistor, with load current flowing, develops a related voltage whose level is employed directly to affect the operating level of the compliance voltage source.
