    Abstract: The present invention relates to novel therapeutic compounds useful as hypolipidemic and hypocholesteremic agents and to a process for the preparation of such compounds. More particularly, the present invention relates to novel alkali metal salts of substituted .alpha.-(3-pentadecylphenoxy)-isobutyric acid, which have never been reported in the prior art and which have now been synthesized for the first time, and to a process for the preparation thereof.
