Publication number: 20240106344Abstract: A wireless power-reception system has a bridge rectifier with two high-side and two low-side transistors, linked to input-nodes and sense-resistors. During a first phase, a control circuit activates certain transistors for rectification, producing an output voltage, while modulating a gate voltage of a non-activated low-side transistor to dissipate excess power and regulate the output voltage. During a first given number of occurrences of the first phase, the control circuit determines the current through the low-side transistor having its gate voltage modulated based upon a voltage across a first sense resistor coupled between that low-side transistor and ground. During a second given number of occurrences of the first phase, the control circuit determines the current delivered to the load based upon a voltage across the first sense resistor and a voltage across a second sense resistor coupled between the other low-side transistor and ground.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: STMicroelectronics Asia Pacific Pte LtdInventors: Thanh HA TIEN, Yannick GUEDON

Publication number: 20240068783Abstract: A method to detect, identify and determine the position of laser points from infrared laser emitters in a firearm training simulation system. The method consists of two steps. This first step combines some common tools such as a camera with a filter switcher and edge and corner detecting algorithms in image processing to provide a fast automatic screen calibrating method. The second step is to detect laser point objects in each frame continuously captured by the camera, and then further process these objects to identify laser shots, filter out noisy objects, and eventually detect simulated shots from different laser emitters and determine the final mapped position of the shot.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 25, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: VIETTEL GROUPInventors: Anh Tuan Vu, Duc Thanh Nguyen, Van Duc Ha, Kim Duc Hoang, Thanh Nhon Nguyen, Anh Tra Duong, Tran Nam Nguyen

Publication number: 20230246829Abstract: A client device that is not originally compliant with a particular security standard (e.g., FIPS) is brought into compliance through the addition of a standard-compliant software-based cryptographic library. In order to adapt the cryptographic library to integrate with the hardware-backed keystore, a non-hardware-backed software keystore is used to store keys used by the cryptographic library. Additionally, in order to provide appropriate security for the software keystore, the software keystore (and/or the keypairs within the software keystore) is protected by a password, and the password is in turn protected by the hardware-backed keystore. Thus, to obtain the password needed to obtain a keypair from the software keystore that is in turn needed to use the cryptographic library, a user must authenticate with the operating system, e.g., by providing biometric credentials.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2022Publication date: August 3, 2023Inventors: Bidan Sinha, Kavitha Chandramohan, Helen Chen, Karthik Bhat, Fei Chen, Aakash Mehta, Thanh-Ha Nguyen

Patent number: 10148671Abstract: A functional program stored in a memory area of an electronic card may be protected against an attack by disturbance of electrical origin intended to modify at least one logic state of at least one code of this program. The method may include: a storage step during which codes of the functional program and codes of a check program intended to check the logical behavior of the functional program are stored in the memory of the card; and a step of executing at least one code of the functional program followed by a step of checking the logic states of the functional program by executing the check program. During the storage step, the codes of the check program are stored in a memory area formed by addresses that are defined so that the attack by disturbance of electrical origin has no influence on the logic states of this program.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2013Date of Patent: December 4, 2018Assignee: IDEMIA IDENTITY & SECURITY FRANCEInventors: Thanh Ha Le, Julien Bringer, Louis-Philippe Goncalves, Maël Berthier
