  • Patent number: 10755816
Abstract: The present invention involves a system and method of providing decision support for assisting medical treatment decision-making. A patient agent software module processes information about a particular patient. A doctor agent software module processes information about a health status of a particular patient, beliefs relating to patient treatments, and the actual effects of treatment decisions. By filtering information over time from the patient agent into the doctor agent, a plurality of decision-outcome nodes are created and formed into a patient-specific outcome tree with the plurality of decision-outcome nodes. An optimal treatment is determined by evaluating the plurality of decision-outcome nodes with a cost per unit change function to output the optimal treatment.

  • Publication number: 20200267822
Abstract: A device may be configured to detect a glare condition and may comprise a photo sensing circuit and a visible light sensing circuit. The photo sensing circuit may be configured to periodically generate an illuminance signal that indicates an illuminance value. The visible light sensing circuit may be configured to periodically record images of the space at an exposure time. The device may receive an illuminance signal from the photo sensing circuit and determine a present illuminance based on the illuminance signal. The device may adjust the frequency at which the visible light sensing circuit records images based on the present illuminance. The exposure time may be determined based on the present illuminance and a glare condition type. An image recorded at a respective exposure time may wash out pixels above a certain illuminance value. The device may detect a glare condition at the location of washed out pixels.

  • Publication number: 20200263703
Abstract: An electric pump may include a stack of diffusers including a first diffuser and a second diffuser. The first diffuser includes a recess therein defining an inner recess surface substantially circumscribing a primary diffuser axis. The second diffuser includes a lip projecting into the recess of the first diffuser. In response to a differential torque applied to the first and second diffusers about the primary diffuser axis, the lip of the second diffuser may engage the inner recess surface of the first diffuser, and thereby prevent relative rotation of the diffusers with respect to one another. An outer perimeter surface of the lip and the inner recess surface may define polygonal shapes or other non-circular profiles.

  • Publication number: 20200261113
Abstract: An automatic insertion device and method of using the same is provided. A vibrator and an extender are connected to a penetrating member and are both in electrical communication with a controller. A detector identifies a subcutaneous target for insertion and the insertion angle, distance and trajectory for the penetrating member are calculated. The vibrator provides vibrations to the penetrating member and the extender advances the penetrating member for insertion. The vibrator and extender are in electrical communication with one another during the insertion process and adjustments to the insertion speed are made based on feedback of vibrational load encountered by the vibrator during insertion, and adjustments to the vibrations are made based on feedback of insertion load encountered by the extender during insertion. Iterative samples are taken to constantly adjust the operation of one motor based on the operations and feedback from the other motor.

  • Patent number: 10746822
Abstract: Systems and methods for quantitative susceptibility mapping (“QSM”) using magnetic resonance imaging (“MRf”) and a localized processing technique are described. A field-shift map is processed based on localized regions of local field perturbations. These localized field-shift regions are processed using established QSM algorithms, or using direct dipole inversion techniques, to compute regional susceptibility distributions from the localized field shift information. When the localized regions correspond to subvolumes of the field-shift map, local susceptibility maps can be generated and combined to form a composite quantitative susceptibility map. By computing regional susceptibility distributions based on localized field-shift information, residual streaking artifacts in the susceptibility map are constrained to the individual volumes from which they originate, thereby eliminating their propagation through the image.
