  • Patent number: 10982310
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a thermal spray alloy system that is more resistant to corrosion than conventional alloy compositions. The disclosed alloy comprises copper as the main component and also potentially nickel, tin, boron, and/or carbon as other principle elements. The alloy composition may utilize a cored wire, and an outer sheath of the cored wire may comprise unalloyed copper. The alloy has superior corrosion resistance to a wide number of corrosive materials, such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide/carbonic acid, sodium chloride/potassium chloride (salts), bio-fouling, and micro-biologicals. The alloy demonstrates superior thermal conductivity compared to nickel based alloys and stainless steels. The alloy may form an anti-corrosive coating that may be applied to any number of substrates. The disclosed alloy may be applied to a substrate in thick layers, such as between 0.100 inches and 3.0 inches, and may be used to form shapes, such as centralizers.

  • Publication number: 20200384190
Abstract: A medical device controller is provided that avoids unintended user inputs and unwanted medical device operation(s). A controller sends display commands to a graphical user interface (GUI) display to generate a first screen having a swipe field with no moving icons that prompts a user to initiate a designated operation by the medical device. When a valid swipe gesture is inputted, the controller generates a second screen with confirm button that requires a valid user press before the controller undertakes the designated operation, the controller generating and sending a command for the designated operation to the medical device when the controller determines that a valid user press has been inputted to the confirm button. The controller also sends commands to generate a status screen that transitions a rotating progress ring symbol and level indicator in accordance with a selected event to clearly indicate the status of medical device operations.

  • Publication number: 20200382930
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are provided to improve pairing between first and second devices to mitigate risk that either device pairs with an unintended device by reducing transmit power to limit communication range between devices to be paired, using minimum and maximum received signal strength thresholds to reject unintended devices, and instructing user to move to another location when multiple devices are detected for pairing. The second device scanning time for detecting advertising signals from the first device is adjusted to detect multiple device co-existence. Pairing is controlled to occur when the second device is the only device that the first device detects.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for planarizing a substrate are provided. A substrate carrier head with an improved cover for holding the substrate securely is provided. The cover may have a bead that is larger than the recess into which it fits, such that the compression forms a conformal seal inside the recess. The bead may also be left uncoated to enhance adhesion of the bead to the surface of the groove. The surface of the cover may be roughened to reduce adhesion of the substrate to the cover without using a non-stick coating.

  • Patent number: 10812856
Abstract: In one embodiment, a set-top box records playback content. The playback content comprises at least one frame that displays first media content and a first advertisement simultaneously. Moreover, the first advertisement is associated with an expiry date. The set-top box receives a selection to view the playback content on a viewing date and determines that the viewing date is past the expiry date associated with the first advertisement. When the viewing date is past the expiry date associated with the first advertisement, the set-top box updates the playback content by replacing the first advertisement in the at least one frame of the playback content with a second advertisement. The set-top box communicates the updated playback content to a display device. The updated playback content comprises at least one frame that displays media content and the second advertisement simultaneously.
