Abstract: A device has a micro electromechanical structure (10) with a first arm (102), at least one second arm (104a, b) connected to each other via a connection (100). Both arms (102, 104a, b) and the connection (100) are preferably made of a single crystalline body. The first and second arm (102, 104a, b) have end portions attached to a substrate, but otherwise the arms and their connection are free to move relative to the substrate. The first and second arm (102, 104a, b) extending from the end portions to the connection (100) along different directions, preferably perpendicularly to each other. An electrode (12) is provided on the substrate, adjacent to the micro electromechanical structure (10) to excite vibration of the structure. The two arms in different directions make it possible to reduce the nonlinearity of the stiffness during vibrations of the structure.

Each has a flat top surface and a bottom surface with a longitudinal opening having a narrow width that accommodates a first thickness of a printed circuit board (PCB). First and second guides are attached to sides of the first and second spacers, respectively, such that a guide distance between the first and second guides corresponds to a combined thickness of the first thickness and side thicknesses of a socket connector into which the PCB is inserted. Each of the first and second guides has two end portions that extend downward by a height.

A top element has a first portion with a top area covering a substantial top surface of the memory module and a second portion bent at an angle that is substantially perpendicular to the first portion and having a height that is approximately equal to thickness of the memory module. A bottom element has a third portion with a bottom area covering a substantial bottom surface of a memory module and a fourth portion bent at an angle that is substantially perpendicular to the third portion and having a height that is approximately equal to the thickness of the memory module. The fourth portion is attached to the second portion.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for determining the mineral content represented by the entire SEM-EDS dataset, including initially unknown data points. SEM-EDS data points are taken and compared to a set of known data points. Any data point that is not sufficiently similar to the known data point is classified as unknown and clustered with like unknown data points. After all data points are analyzed, any clusters of unknown data points with a sufficient number of data points are further analyzed to determine their characteristics. All clusters of unknown data points with an insufficient number of data points to allow further analysis are considered outliers and discarded.

The record is capable of being updated based on the further information. In some implementations, the record is a case and the user interface serves as a single interface for all interactions required in solving the case.

In one embodiment, a method etching high-k material on a substrate may include providing a substrate having a high-k material layer disposed thereon into an etch chamber, forming a plasma from an etching gas mixture including at least a halogen containing gas into the etch chamber, maintaining a temperature of an interior surface of the etch chamber in excess of about 100 degree Celsius while etching the high-k material layer in the presence of the plasma, and maintaining a substrate temperature between about 100 degree Celsius and about 250 degrees Celsius while etching the high-k material layer in the presence of the plasma.

Abstract: Systems and methods for retaining data in non-volatile solid-state are disclosed in which refresh copy operations are performed on data stored in non-volatile solid-state memory. A controller can comprise a data retention module configured to issue copy commands within different periods of time, and to maintain usage data on a storage subsystem. A refresh copy operation helps ensure that data written to memory retain integrity by causing data to be programmed again onto the memory, which minimizes the risk of data error caused by electron leak in the non-volatile solid-state memory. One or more data structures may be used to determine memory blocks that require refresh copy operations. In one embodiment, a validity bit array is used to track blocks that contain valid data. In another embodiment, a least recently used list is used to track blocks that have been least recently written.

The system runs the optimization problem in real-time. The system outputs, from the optimization problem, an output specifying the calculated amount of the electric power and the total cost to generate the calculated amount of the electric power.

Abstract: A disk drive is disclosed comprising a head, a disk surface, and a voice coil motor (VCM) and a microactuator operable to actuate the head over the disk surface. A sensitivity of the microactuator is periodically measured over a lifetime of the microactuator. Each measured sensitivity is stored in a timeline log, wherein the timeline log represents a degradation curve of the microactuator over the lifetime of the microactuator.
