  • Patent number: 7839682
Abstract: An array of non-volatile memory cells is arranged in a plurality of rows and columns, wherein each memory cell has at least three terminals: a first terminal for the read out of the signal from the memory cell, a second terminal to which high voltage is supplied during certain operation, and a third terminal to which low voltage is supplied in all operations. The cells in the same column have a common bit line connected to the first terminal of memory cells in the same column. The array comprises a first and second sub arrays of memory cells arranged adjacent to one another in the same row. A first decoder is positioned to one side of the first sub array in the same row as the first sub array. A second decoder is positioned to another side of the second sub array in the same row as the second sub array. A first high voltage line is connected to the second decoder and to only the second terminal of the memory cells in the same row in the first sub array.

  • Patent number: 7839785
Abstract: A method and system for dropping lower priority packets for transmission over a communication medium is provided. A cable modem termination system receives one or more packets to be transferred to one or more data providers, each packet having a priority. Then, based on the priority, a media access controller stores each of the packets in one or more priority queues in a fixed shared memory space in such a way as to maintain the order in which the packets were received in each of the priority queues. The media access controller monitors the number of packets in each of the priority queues and signals an interrupt when a packet threshold is exceeded in one or more of the priority queues. The media access controller then drops lower priority packets in the fixed shared memory space based on the order received to guarantee that there is enough memory to store higher priority packets in the fixed shared memory space.

  • Patent number: 7821374
Abstract: A method of arranging and fabricating parallel primary and secondary coils of a wideband planar transformer is provided. The spacing and width of the coils are disposed to extend the bandwidth from DC to GHz and allow for high frequency coupling when the core permeability dramatically drops and achieves low reflected energy and low loss over a wide bandwidth. A bottom mold having a pattern of hole-pairs with conductive elements inserted vertically couples to a top mold such that a middle portion of the conductive elements spans between the top and bottom molds. Dielectric material envelopes the middle portion and a displacement feature of the mold creates a vacancy. A ferrite element is deposited to the vacancy. A second top mold spans the bottom mold and dielectric material is deposited to create a molded assembly. A deposited patterned conductive coating connects the element ends to define the transformer coils.
