    Abstract: An antifouling coating composition includes a binder copolymer which contains one or more copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomers or oligomers wherein at least one of said monomers or oligomers has a hydroxy group, a copolymerizable silicone monomer or oligomer, and a film formable metal soap compound which is prepared by reacting a metal compound containing a metal having a valency of at least 2 with an unsaturated fatty acid or alcohol.
