Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for providing navigation guidance comprising: defining a geographical-area for a particular user; populating a database with information relating to a plurality of remote-data-sources, wherein the information comprises time-stamped-location-data for each of the plurality of remote-data-sources; searching the database to identify one or more candidate-remote-data-sources based on matching candidate-time-stamped-location-data with: the particular user's geographical-area; and a predetermined discrete time interval; sending a report-request to the one or more candidate-remote-data-sources; receiving report-data from the one or more candidate-remote-data-sources in response to the report-request, the report-data for use in providing subsequent navigation guidance for the particular user.
