    Abstract: Systems and methods of generating scenic routes and safe parking locations near scenic points are provided. Based at least in part upon a driver indication of a preference for a scenic route from an origin location to a destination location, a mobile device application may generate a scenic route by selecting route segments between the origin location and the destination location associated with a large number of scenic points. Scenic points may be identified based at least in part upon historical driver telemetry data and POI data. For instance, if historical telemetry data indicates that a large number of drivers stop briefly at a location not known to be near a POI, that location may be a scenic location (e.g., a location where drivers frequently leave their vehicles to take photos). Additionally, safe parking locations near each scenic point may be identified based at least in part upon historical vehicle damage data, and navigation directions to safe parking locations may be provided.

The system may further include an external processing server configured to receive the vehicle image data from the portable imaging gate apparatus. The external processing server may also analyze the vehicle image data to identify a plurality of vehicle features, and determine a first vehicle feature from the plurality of vehicle features. The first vehicle feature may be related to a vehicle incident. The system may also include a provider server configured to receive the first vehicle feature from the external processing server, and update an aspect of a risk evaluation based on the first vehicle feature.

The geospatial animation app implements an interactive animated GUI that renders a plurality of geospatial graphics or graphical routes on a geographic area map via a display device. The geospatial graphics or graphical routes are rendered to have different visual forms based on differences between respective GUI position values and corresponding GUI time values.

A processor may randomly select whether a reward is to be provided to the operator of the vehicle based on the determination that the operator of the vehicle has completed the safe-driving challenge. Moreover, if a reward is to be provided to the operator of the vehicle, a processor may randomly select a type of reward to be provided to the operator of the vehicle.

By comparing the instances in which the safety device is used by the operator of the vehicle to the instances in which the vehicle is in motion, instances in which the operator of the vehicle uses the safety device while operating the vehicle may be determined. Furthermore, a trend of the operator of the vehicle using the safety device while operating the vehicle may be identified. A notification related to the identified trend may be provided to the operator of the vehicle.

Current traffic data associated with the route segments may be analyzed to assign a traffic score representing a level of congestion along the segment and corresponding to a level of insurance risk associated with traversing the segment. Based at least in part upon the indications of calmness and the traffic score associated with each route segment, a route may be selected and presented to the user.
