    Abstract: A damping element for the attachment of a vehicle component to the remainder of a vehicle. The damping element can be in the form of a one-piece damping element. The damping element has a first damping cylinder and a second damping cylinder, wherein the two damping cylinders are connected to each other via a connecting cylinder and the damping element is designed such that, when the damping element is in a position of use, only the first and second damping cylinders bear in a force-transmitting manner against the vehicle component and against the remainder of the vehicle in the radial and axial direction.
