  • Patent number: 4955408
Abstract: A vacuum-control valve for milking systems, with a valve body that is positioned upright and moves axially inside a housing and has a conical projection extending into an air-intake, with the valve-body cross-section changing as it moves axially, whereby the air-intake communicates with a vacuumized line. An aerodynamic structure is positioned under the valve body and is connected to the valve body by way of a rod such that the air entering the air intake exerts a downward force on the valve body.

  • Patent number: 4846108
Abstract: A spreader is provided to avoid impermissibly high pressures in the interior of the inner sheath of a teat cup with a valve. The spreader powerfully decreases the pressure in the interior during the non-suction phase and accordingly compensates for the pressure increase resulting from the prestress of the inner sheath during the suction phase when the valve is closed.

  • Patent number: 4605040
Abstract: The partial-vacuum regulating valve consists of a main valve and an auxiliary valve. The auxiliary-valve body is adjusted in accordance with the partial vacuum prevailing in the milking system and affects the amount of air drawn out of the main-valve control chamber, which communicates with the atmosphere through a calibrated bore, through a certain channel. The partial vacuum that adjusts in the control chamber in accordance with the amount of air drawn out determines the position of the auxiliary-valve body and hence the amount of air flowing into a certain line through the air-inlet opening, which affects the partial pressure in the line. The main-valve control chamber has an additional calibrated air inlet that is closed off with a cap. When the cap is removed, atmospheric air also flows through the additional inlet into the main-valve control chamber and reduces the partial vacuum therein.

  • Patent number: 4476808
Abstract: A milking system in which milk is drawn during milking into a vacuumized milk collector and let off through a downstream sluice is rinsed automatically with air being admitted periodically into a preliminary-run line of an automatic rinser to improve rinsing. A preliminary-run container is positioned between the sluice and a preliminary-run line of the automatic rinser and communicates through connecting lines with the preliminary-run line and the sanitary trap and through a run-off and a connecting line with the sluice. Valves are mounted in the run-off and open the line to the sluice only when there is liquid in the preliminary-run container and a vacuum in the sluice. This prevents atmospheric air from flowing from the preliminary-run line into the sluice or air from being drawn out of the sluice when there is atmospheric pressure in the sluice.
