    Abstract: Stress cracking in poly(alkylene terephthalate) articles of manufacture is inhibited by applying to the article a stress crack inhibitor which contains an amine having at least 6 carbon atoms. In a preferred embodiment, the stress crack inhibitor is applied to the article in the form of an aqueous fatty acid-based lubricant.
