  • Publication number: 20240089243
Abstract: Systems and methods can use subscription and identity authentication management to remove paywalls from websites. Login information for access to an application can be received from a user. The application can verify that the login information is associated with a subscriber account associated with a subscriber to the application. Instructions can be received to access a provider site from the user through the application. The application can determine that the provider site is associated with the subscriber account and the user; and then determine access credentials to the provider site based on a predetermined access scheme associated with the provider site. The access credentials can be injected into a paywall associated with the provider site.

  • Publication number: 20230389166
Abstract: A load control device for controlling the power delivered from an AC power source to an electrical load is able to receive radio-frequency (RF) signals from a Wi-Fi-enabled device, such as a smart phone, via a wireless local area network. The load control device comprises a controllably conductive device adapted to be coupled in series between the source and the load, a controller for rendering the controllably conductive device conductive and non-conductive, and a Wi-Fi module operable to receive the RF signals directly from the wireless network. The controller controls the controllably conductive device to adjust the power delivered to the load in response to the wireless signals received from the wireless network.

  • Patent number: 10044847
Abstract: An apparatus and system for minimizing the risk that a cognitively impaired individual will wander or elope, and for locating the individual in case he or she nonetheless successfully wanders or elopes. The system employs a wearable appliance which the cognitively impaired individual should not be able to remove easily. The system also employs a smartphone having an application for use by a care giver. A website and cloud server are employed for communication of data from the wearable appliance to the smartphone and from the smartphone to the website. In an optional embodiment, the smartphone can initiate notifications to other smartphones held by other individuals who can assist in the search.
