    Abstract: A composition effective for the control of insects is disclosed, wherein the composition contains a phenyl pyrazole compound, a halopyridyl compound, or an avermectin compound, or combinations thereof, and a plant-derived oil carrier. Also disclosed is a method of applying the composition to an area where the insects are to be controlled. The composition may be applied to discrete locations within the area, or applied to a substrate with the substrate then being placed within the area.
