    Abstract: A patient's level of cell-mediated immunity is determined by obtaining a blood sample from the patient, incubating cells from the sample in a tissue culture medium containing Concanavalin A, and observing the number of polykaryons produced or the number of nuclei per polykaryon or both to thereby determine the level of cell-mediated immunity of the hose from which the blood sample was obtained.
