  • Patent number: 10425281
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device in a network maintains a topology database of one or more topologies of entities in the network. The device identifies a replacement entity that has physically replaced a particular one of the entities in the network. The device determines whether neighbor information regarding one or more of the entities that neighbor the replacement entity matches neighbor information in the topology database associated with the replaced entity. The device determines whether client information regarding one of more clients of the replacement entity matches client information in the topology database associated with the replaced entity. The device sends an alert when the neighbor or client information of the replacement entity does not match the neighbor or client information in the topology database associated with the replaced entity.

  • Patent number: 9800950
Abstract: Techniques are provided for capturing audio containing speech at an endpoint device, converting the audio into corresponding text, identifying one or more keywords from the corresponding text and determining geolocation information associated with the endpoint device. Both the one or more keywords and the geolocation information are supplied as input to a geo-targeting advertisement service so as to cause the geo-targeting advertisement service to identify relevant content based on both the geolocation information and the one or more keywords. The geo-targeting advertisement service provides one or more advertisements to an endpoint device for display, wherein the advertisements are based on the one or more keywords and the geolocation information.

  • Publication number: 20170223066
Abstract: Detecting and reporting content capture (e.g., screen capture) events during an online conference session includes, at a server having connectivity to a network, during an online conference session involving a plurality of endpoints in which a first participant at a first endpoint is sharing content, detecting a content capture event initiated at a second endpoint during the online conference session. Identity information indicating an identity of a participant at the second endpoint and content information indicating the content that was captured during the content capture event is generated and the identity information and content information is made available to a computing device associated with the first participant.

  • Patent number: 9692723
Abstract: Network device management may be provided. By utilizing a network ID tag (i.e., a switch identifier) corresponding to a network switch, a network management platform on a server may access network devices that exist behind the network switch. The network switch may comprise a network address translation (NAT) device. The network devices may comprise an industrial network comprising groups of machines that exist as islands behind their own respective network switches where each group of machines may utilize the same internet protocol (IP) addresses as other group of machines in the industrial network.

  • Patent number: 8957936
Abstract: The concept of caller identification (ID) may be enhanced by taking advantage of video by allowing a call recipient to see who is calling on an incoming video call. The call recipient may be allowed to make a decision to accept or decline the incoming video call based upon who the call recipient sees (e.g. through a live video stream) attempting to contact them.

  • Patent number: 8799396
Abstract: Network cache systems are used to improve network performance and reduce network traffic. An improved network cache system that uses a centralized shared cache system is disclosed. Each cache device that shares the centralized shared cache system maintains its own catalog, database or metadata index of the content stored on the centralized shared cache system. When one of the cache devices that shares the centralized shared cache system stores a new content resource to the centralized shared cache system, that cache device transmits a broadcast message to all of the peer cache devices. The other cache devices that receive the broadcast message will then update their own local catalog, database or metadata index of the centralized share cache system with the information about the new content resource.
