Abstract: The present invention provides devices, systems and methods for providing a user with haptic feedback, thus connecting the user with a virtual or remote environment. The device includes a plurality of fluid compartments that can be expanded or collapsed to provide tactile sensations to a user. The device design can provide continuous, dynamic and variable feedback that allows a user to distinguish between different virtual objects. The invention provides enhanced spatial and temporal resolution, hence providing more realistic sensory feedback and allowing for immersion into virtual or augmented reality environments.
