    Abstract: An auxiliary door latch for children's safety which comprises a flexible tape-like member having openings in opposite end portions for detachably engaging projecting heads provided on the free end portion of a door and the adjacent jamb. The flexibility of the tape-like member permits reliable and facile accommodation for the particular locations of said heads, which latter may, if desired, be readily removed in periods of disuse.

    Abstract: An auxiliary door latch for use with a door swingably mounted on one side thereof to a side element of a door frame and with the other side of said door being free comprising a first door latching component fixed upon the side element of the frame proximate the free end of the door when the latter is in closed condition; there being a second door latching component suitably mounted upon the door proximate its free end for swingable movement between engaged latch-forming relationship with said first door latching component when the door is in closed condition and disengaged state for permitting door movement.

    Abstract: An auxiliary lock comprising a lock body for extension through an opening in the closure to be secured; there being a stop forming element on one end of said lock body for engaging one side portion of said door to limit the extension of said lock body therethrough, as well as to stabilize same in position. A bolt is presented for projecting through a bore in the extended portion of said lock body, in generally axially perpendicular relationship thereto. One end of said bolt is enlarged to limit its projection through said lock body bore, and the other end is received within a socket provided in the structure adjacent the door. A lock is engageable upon said bolt between said lock body and said socket.
