  • Patent number: 9851078
Abstract: A heat sink (10) comprising a plurality of parallel fins (12) and a plurality of plates (14). Each plate (14) is located between an adjacent pair of fins (12) and one or more securing members is provided to secure the fins (12) and plates (14) in contact. Each of the plates (14) is formed of a material being softer than the material of the fins (12) such that compression of the fins (12) and plates (14) deforms the surface of the plates (14) to improve thermal conductivity between adjacent fins (12).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 9, 2013
Date of Patent: December 26, 2017

  • Patent number: 8327674
Abstract: A locking mechanism (10) comprising a housing (16) and a shackle (14) having a first side (44) and a second side (46). The shackle (14) is slidable between a primary closed position in which the first and second sides (44 and 46) are each engaged with the housing (16) and a primary open position in which the first side (44) is engaged with the housing (16) and the second side (46) is free from the housing (16). A port (65) is provided in the housing (16) exposing a portion of the first side (44) of the shackle (14) in the primary closed position. Severing the shackle (14) through the port (65) allows the shackle (14) to move from the primary open position to a secondary open position, from which the shackle (14) can move back to a secondary closed position.

  • Publication number: 20090301145
Abstract: A padlock comprising a lock body, a plurality of shackles extending from the lock body and a locking mechanism. Each shackle is moveable between a closed position and an open position. The locking mechanism is engageable with each of the shackles such that operation of the locking mechanism with an access control means is required to move any shackle in the closed position to the open position. Severing one of the shackles in the closed position results in one of the other shackles being in the open position and free to move to the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20080229554
Abstract: A luggage security device for use on luggage having a zipper including a first zip chain and a second zip chain with first and second zip sliders such that the zipper is sealed when the first zip slider is positioned adjacent the second zip slider. The device includes a zipper engaging portion that engages the first zip chain at a point on the zipper between the first and second zip sliders when the first zip slider is positioned adjacent the second zip slider and a slider engaging portion to engage with both the first and second zip sliders when the first zip slider is positioned adjacent the second zip slider. The slider engaging portion prevents movement of the first zip slider relative to the second zip slider and the zipper engaging portion prevents the first and second zip sliders from moving relative to the zipper.

  • Publication number: 20050284707
Abstract: A wheel securing means (10) for securing a wheel (12) comprising a rim (14) and a tire (16). The wheel securing means (10) comprises first and second arm members (18,20). Each of the first and second arm members (18,20) has a first end arranged to engage with the rim (14) on a first side thereof and extends from the first end to a second end adjacent a point on the outer circumference of the tire (16). A locking means (28) is provided to secure the second end of the first arm member (18) to the second end of the second arm member (20) and the first and second arm members (18,20) are shaped to engage with the outer surface of the tire (16) in use such that rotation of the wheel (12) causes rotation of the wheel securing means (10).
