Publication number: 20110199455Abstract: A printing engine, having an ink support adapted to support an amount of ink, a plurality of laser scanning units, each laser scanning unit including a laser adapted to emit a laser beam and a directing unit configured to direct the laser beam onto the ink support. The laser scanning unit is adapted to apply energy to the amount of ink at a laser beam spot position. The laser scanning units are adapted to simultaneously scan the ink support substantially in a main scanning direction with respective laser beam spot positions, the laser beam spot positions being remote from each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2011Publication date: August 18, 2011Inventor: Theodorus A.G. Patent number: 7634211Abstract: A temperature control system for a roller that is detachably mounted in a frame of an image forming apparatus includes a primary liquid circuit formed in the roller and containing a first liquid and a secondary liquid circuit formed outside of the roller and containing a second liquid. A heat exchanger is arranged to bring the primary and secondary liquid circuits into thermal contact with one another. The heat exchanger includes a first heat exchange member that is in thermal contact with the primary liquid circuit, and a second heat exchange member arranged on the stationary part to be in thermal contact with the secondary liquid circuit. A temperature control device controls the temperature of the second liquid. The first and second heat exchange members form heat transfer surfaces that are opposed to one another to permit heat transfer from one heat exchange member to the other heat exchange member.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2007Date of Patent: December 15, 2009Assignee: OCE-Technologies B.V.Inventors: Lamberdina J. Patent number: 5735604Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor unit and a temperature measuring system that includes the sensor unit for the contactless determination of the object temperature (T.sub.v) of at least a part of an object. The sensor unit is placed near the object and includes a first and second plate. A temperature-sensitive sensor is disposed on each plate to produce first and second sensor signals which represent the temperature of the first and second plates, respectively. The system also includes a control unit which processes the first and second sensor signals in combination for determining the object temperature (T.sub.v). Preferably, the control unit employs a Kalman filter. Also, the temperature measuring system is applied to an image reproduction machine to determine the temperature of a roller or belt.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 1996Date of Patent: April 7, 1998Assignee: Oce-Technologies, B.V.Inventors: Gerardus L. Patent number: 5587779Abstract: An apparatus is provided for transferring a toner image from an endless belt to a receiving material positioned on a flat plate. The toner image is formed by image-forming drums on a part of the belt movable continuously along the drums and is transferred to the receiving material, starting at the leading edge of the toner image and ending at the trailing edge of the toner image. For allowing the latter, an increasable loop is formed in the belt before the image-transfer station and a reducible loop is formed in the belt after the image-transfer station. The loops in the belt are held taut by moving tension rollers in planes forming an acute angle .alpha. with the flat plate, whereby at the image-transfer station the belt forms a constant angle .beta. with the flat plate.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 1995Date of Patent: December 24, 1996Assignee: Oce-Nederland, B.V.Inventors: Theodorus A.
