  • Patent number: 11071093
Abstract: A method of reducing interference in a communication system supporting multiple radio channel communication scheme, where a communication link can be established between a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter first determines interference level at the transmitter, and then based on the determined interference level, performs link adaptation. The link adaptation comprises applying channel bundling for adapting the communication link so as to transmit simultaneously on at least two radio channels from the transmitter to the receiver.

  • Patent number: 10320711
Abstract: This invention generally relates to Low-power and Lossy Wireless Networks. The proposed solution takes advantage of the fact that retry mechanism and back-off mechanism are already present in trickle-based algorithms. This way, it is possible to disable the equivalent features present at the MAC level which are the main causes of the large maxima of the fluctuating end-to-end delay. Also, it has been done away with the additional waiting time which comes from the packet waiting in the buffer in the MAC. Therefore, it has been provided a real-time layer with a limited size buffer able to allocate a deadline to a multicast packet and to select packets for transmission or rejection on the basis of the packet deadline. This way, it is kept a tighter hold on the rejection and waiting of the packets.

  • Publication number: 20180288618
Abstract: A wireless network (252) has a mesh structure of wireless communication links between nodes (210, 220). The network enables an unsecured node (230) to join the network by exchanging joining messages with a configurator (200). The configurator (200) is arranged for determining network security states including an insecure state in which all nodes are in the unsecured mode and the network is open for joining nodes; a partially secure state in which at least one node (210, 220) is in the secured mode and the network is open for joining nodes; and a secure state in which the network is closed to nodes in the unsecured mode. The nodes detect the security state and adapt their operation to the detected security state of the network and the mode of the device. The adapted operation enables flexible security bootstrapping of the network.

  • Patent number: 10091863
Abstract: A computing system (200) and a method of generating data for enabling external control of a lighting system (100) comprising a plurality of light sources (101, 102) based on third party content are provided. The computing system is configured to receive a plurality of registrations of lighting systems and, for each of the registered lighting systems, information including indications of positions of at least some of the light sources of the lighting system, and to map the information onto a coordinate system. A coordinate-based representation is generated based on the mapping. Further, the computing system is configured to receive third party content from an external third party content provider (300), select at least one of the registered lighting systems, and generate data for controlling the selected lighting system. The generation of data is based on the coordinate-based representation related to the selected lighting system and the third party content.

  • Patent number: 10045274
Abstract: The invention proposes an improvement to increase the speed at which a Trickle algorithm can propagate update information in a multi-hop network, while still controlling the number of redundant transmissions and ensuring scalability of the algorithm. It does this by intelligently adapting the size of a listen-only period (t1, t2), depending on the fact if a node has recently received an update or not.

  • Patent number: 9721442
Abstract: An emergency manager for a lighting device (1), which lighting device is configured to transmit information by coding its output light. The emergency manager has a light coding unit (5), configured to code light emitted by a light emitter (3), thereby enabling the light emitter to emit a coded light signal including an individual identifier identifying the lighting device; an emergency indicator (7); and a control unit (9).
