  • Patent number: 5328632
Abstract: This invention is a mild personal cleansing bar formulation which lends itself to faster processing comprising: from about 20% to about 50% lathering mild synthetic surfactant and from abut 5% to about 50% of magnesium soap; wherein the ratio of said lathering mild synthetic surfactant to said soap is from about 10:1 to about 0.4:1; said bar having a pH of from about 6.5 to about 8.5 in a 1% aqueous solution at 25.degree. C.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 19, 1993
Date of Patent: July 12, 1994
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company
Inventors: Bruce L. Redd, Eddie C. Walker, Robet E. Hare, Donald A. Niederbaumer, James C. Dunbar, Theresa A. Bakken
  • Patent number: 5300249
Abstract: This invention is an improved mild personal cleansing syndet bar comprising: long chain synthetic surfactant having essentially saturated C.sub.15 -C.sub.22, preferably C.sub.16 -C.sub.18, alkyl or acyl chains, more preferably cetearyl sulfate; a high lathering, mild synthetic surfactant, preferably C.sub.12 -C.sub.14 acyl isethionate; soap; fatty acids; sodium isethionate; and paraffin wax, preferably a high melting point paraffin wax. The bar has improved processability, good smears, and good in-use properties without meaningful lather negatives.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 23, 1991
Date of Patent: April 5, 1994
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company
Inventors: James R. Schwartz, Richard D. Farris, Theresa A. Bakken, Lawrence A. Gilbert, Wayne E. Eccard, James C. Dunbar

  • Patent number: 5154849
Abstract: A mild skin cleansing composition in the form of a bar comprising from about 0.5% to about 20% of a mixture of a silicone gum and a silicone fluid wherein the gum:fluid ratio is from about 10:1 to about 1:10, preferably from about 4:1 to about 1:4, most preferably from about 3:2 to about 2:3. The silicone component is a skin mildness/moisturizing aid which imparts superior, durable conditioning to skin washed with the composition. Processes for preparing a mild skin cleansing toilet bar with this silicone component are disclosed.
